Character Information
  • Full Name: Rhoväenion Daermäethor Nhaéslal Draltar
    • Also known as Rhovanion, or Rhov.
  • Heritage: Selveth/Lanlath
  • Age: 201
  • Gender: Male
  • Occult: Valor Arkenborn, Eidolon True Mage
Core Concept
Once a flame burning bright with the desire to prove himself, Rhovanion is now a quiet mercenary jaded by his past. The pursuit of glory has taken a backseat to a desire for a more meaningful existence, though what meaning he seeks has yet to be found.

Appearance Information
Rhovanion at first glance is unmistakably elven; He stands at a height of 6'1 with a muscular physique befitting any typical sword-fighter. Across his body are a collection of scars, each telling a story in their own way of countless fights, beatings and punishments collected alike. His hair has turned to a near-white blonde which he keeps medium length, while his face sports a rugged beard.

Most striking are his Demi-Demon eyes, pale silver against a never ending sea of blue. There's a certain hardness to them that seems to rarely soften, the man always on guard.

Hobbies and Talents
  • Athletic Hobby
    • Rhovanion has spent years dedicated to physical fitness, and takes pride in keeping his form in shape.
  • Magic Talent
    • Rhovanion posses a mage-spark, as much as he laments. His skills fall in line with the Radiant School and Illusion School, though he has done little to hone what he is capable of.

Mechanics:
  • Animal Masters: You can communicate with wild animals in your presence, but they cannot have plot-relevant information or information that would otherwise be metagaming or character-revealing. You can summon a plant and bark-matter mount from the forest anywhere, or call upon a Regalian deer to stride to you as a mount. Finally, you can turn wild beasts into temporary familiars. This may not work on Event Animals.
  • Forest Masters: You can (within reason), change how you are perceived, or how others perceive the forest around you while out of Combat. This can include producing animal sounds that imply the presence of predators, disappearing in the canopy as you jump from tree to tree, and generally making the forest a hostile place to be for unwelcome guests. Whatever is done, cannot confer combat benefit or pre-combat positioning.
  • Lanlath do not need to sleep, but can do so if they wish, or enter into a trancelike state of meditation that approximates sleep but leaves them watchful.
  • Lanlath can see things from incredibly far away if they focus, able to spot an eagle landing a kilometer away or a coin being flipped across a town. Ask DM for Event use.
  • Beast Becoming: You can use a ritual/ consume/ sacrifice any part of an animal to adopt aspects of it, for example consuming the flesh of a jungle-cat and taking on their hind legs and tail, or sacrificing the pelt of a bear and transforming your arms into bear-claw hands. These changes are temporary (however long you want them to be), can change any body part but never the head, and cannot grant other mechanical uses such as flight.
  • As a Valor Silven, Rhovanion has access to Common Eidolon Mechanics and Valor Arkenborn Mechanics.

Plot Hooks
  • Rhovanion is a son of Valor, a burden and blessing that has shaped his world view.
    • Having lived for two centuries, Rhovanion has entered a state of mind similar to that which his father now holds, though not nearly to the extent of inaction.
  • Old and jaded, Rhovanion clings to ideals of the past.
    • He speaks fondly of a Gaelthar who he once fought alongside, though it is unclear who this individual is. Rhovanion claims him to be a son of Justice.
    • Rhovanion is extremely prejudiced against Kathar and Abyssal aligned Arkenborn.
      • Abyssal mages also receive scrutiny, but to a less degree if they are otherwise mundane.
    • Rhovanion has an inclination to protect those he views as otherwise defenseless, or vulnerable. This especially applies to Estellians, Eidolon mages, and Eidolon Arkenborn, particularly sons and daughters of Compassion.
    • Outside of this inclination, he sells his skills for the right price, but also the right buyer.
      • Rhovanion refuses to fight for Abyssal Arkenborn.
