Skill Information
  • Hobbies and Talents: Silver smithing, dance and song.
  • Mechanics:
  • Animal Masters: You can communicate with wild animals in your presence, but they cannot have plot-relevant information or information that would otherwise be metagaming or character-revealing. You can summon a plant and bark-matter mount from the forest anywhere, or call upon a Regalian deer to stride to you as a mount. Finally, you can turn wild beasts into temporary familiars. This may not work on Event Animals.
  • Forest Masters: You can (within reason), change how you are perceived, or how others perceive the forest around you while out of Combat. This can include producing animal sounds that imply the presence of predators, disappearing in the canopy as you jump from tree to tree, and generally making the forest a hostile place to be for unwelcome guests. Whatever is done, cannot confer combat benefit or pre-combat positioning.
  • Wood Singer: You can use song, music, or hand gestures to reshape wood and other plant-like materials in any shape you like, for example, jewelry or weapons. Other good applications for this are as furniture or decorations inside houses, or to address in-the-moment needs while in the forest, for example by creating wooden bowls, or chairs to sit on that sprout from the roots in the soil.
  • Capitalism Free: You cannot be Aristocratic or Nobility in Regalia, but you don't need to either. While Regalians need money to buy things, you can just get anything and everything from the forest for free. You never need to buy clothes or food, and even alchemical ingredients and medicine can be regularly sourced from the woods. Money has no meaning to you and you can extract value for yourself. You have defeated John Locke.
  • Beast Becoming: You can use a ritual/ consume/ sacrifice any part of an animal to adopt aspects of it, for example consuming the flesh of a jungle-cat and taking on their hind legs and tail, or sacrificing the pelt of a bear and transforming your arms into bear-claw hands. These changes are temporary (however long you want them to be), can change any body part but never the head, and cannot grant other mechanical uses such as flight.

Backstory/Plothooks
One of Three Triplets from Northern Daendroque Jungles, adopted by Maquixtl mercenaries.

-Nelcotzin from a young age was a peace-loving and protective at heart individual, the war did not sit right with him, and like his sister Necacui did not get along well with their parent's expectations of him.

-Nelcotzin since a young age had a fascination with being around the Yanar of the Freefolk and took after their ways rather than the typical rowdiness of most Selvath.

-Nel did not struggle as much with his Beast Becoming ability as he'd been hunted by a large basilisk-like creature whilst foraging alone, in turn, Nelcotzin used his Wood Singer ability to form impromptu weapons and armor, he ended up hunting it instead, consumed it, and gained its atributes of having two hears and a forked tongue.
His more deer and goatlike features came from a non-native beast Urlan travelers inadvertently introduced called an Erker, although not nearly having as many horns, nor the tusks, he did take on the digitigrade legs and a singular set of horns. This all happened between the ages of 14-16.

-At the age of 16, Nel took off into the jungles to gain knowledge around the same time Necacui ran away to a nearby village. Deep in the jungle he'd found a silver vein and became deeply fascinated with the metal, built a forge, and made the enchanted charms that dangle from his horns.
He'd return home by the age of 17.

-He'd become more in tandem with nature and magic as a whole by the age of 17, preferring peace over chaos and rowdiness, providing wisdom beyond his years and little niche talents he liked to show off.

-Nelcotzin left for Regalia a day before his sisters did, hoping to avoid Necacui and her tendency to be a pest to him. But it was primarily because of the wars brewing in the region. He fully accepts who his sisters Necacui and Necua are regardless of this, and largely prefers not to interfere in their lives. Unless he has to in order to protect and defend them.

Relationships:

First best friend he's ever had/has mild crush on/cares most, Jasmine Naik

Ezralin being a close second to Jasmine, minus the crush thing

Ser Bedivere, was his first friend in Regalia, still barely knows him because Bedivere is a busy knight.

Kathryne, just kinda chill with 'em for the most part, care about his 'cause his sister Necacui cares about her

Henry Windrocker and Eric Liolen, chill-ish with both, Henry definitely a little moreso. Doesn't understand the grudge that well.

Zyanya, was very comforted by their presence, enjoyed their company.

Sibyllad, found her absolutely hysterical, enjoys her presence for the rowdiness.
