Regardless, for this poem I've merged numerology and mingled quite a few metaphors and double entendre's, in fact, on the third stanza, there is one double entendre every line. To break it down: "Sat atop ivory, they'll tumble down"; House Ivrae, and their fall from grace. "Cadent screams of mighty"' House Kade, and their rise through might "Ten of few"; There is ten chapters in the Reliquary Order "This new chapter might-be"; Relative bar to the line before, the Reliquary Order's chapters! Numerology: To preface, my character recently began courting Izel Mecatl. The numerology in this poem is a reflection of this: There are five words with the word "ten" in them, with one intentionally by itself on the third stanza. The line "twenties, ageing sixfold" gives us the other two number required. Using these numbers you can do 105+206, giving us 311. Or 311 AC. The next is derived from 20+6, giving us 26. Or 26th And the finally piece being the stand alone ten, giving us 10. Or October, the tenth month. Finally: 26th October 311 AC, aka the date the pair first met.
