To those Interested,
To say the Regalian Navy is one of the Empire's greatest assets would be demonstration of ignorance. For without an Army, this Empire would not be able to guard its own cities. Without a Navy, this Empire would not be able to guard its own shores. Without both, this Empire would not be an Empire at all.
And yet, with many in this city making a claim of martial prowess, there is no place for military officers to gather, and discuss the matters most pertinent to us. And so I will take it upon myself to rectify this insult.
Consider this an open invitation to the Officer's Club. A group composed of those individuals who have a passion for the military, and a desire to engage other like minded individuals in discussing the affairs of our profession.
Though do not that this open invitation as reason to come and listen without contributing; I do not want you if that is your intention. If you merely wish to talk about the Elven war, I do not want to talk to you. If you read a few books and claim to be a military expert I do not want you. If you come to hear old men talk about accomplishments while only giving compliments, I do not want to talk to you.
I only seek the company of those who have the same passion and experience as I have, so that we do not spend time on trivial matters and have wholesome conversation. If you believe to be that type of individual, then welcome. If you are not, then be on your way and pay this paper no more heed.
The Regalian Officer's Club is a frequent gathering of military-inclined individuals to talk about the military, and have deep conversations on other matters. As noted from the note above, this group aims to have deeper conversations than the usual smalltalk, and as such may not be everyone's cup of tea.
There is no formal structure to the organization, only that it is spearheaded by Rothad Kehlen, a battle commander with years of front line combat experience. Those interested in joining need only watch this thread or the Regalian Notice Board for meeting times and locations.
