With the unification of the Duchy of South Anglia with the Dragenthäler counties of Tirgunn and Orl, His Grace Thomas of the House Kade has been elevated to the position of Lord, now holding the Lordship of the Southern Dragon Isles. Merriment and celebration spread like a tidal wave through South Anglia, their duke now climbing the ladder of Regalian politics.
However, with the unification of these lands under one lordship, the people of Tirgunn and Orl grew disgruntled, more so the people of Orl. With the Drachenwald Crisis a mere thirty years ago, the people of Dragenthal tensed at the idea of a Kade lording over them. Days progressed with an uneasy air present in the two counties, only to recently erupt in minor riots, lootings, and public denouncements of the ruling lords and ladies of the realm. With many of the domestic soldiers in Orl (as little as there are) and the militias sent by Mathias Pachen tensing in conflict, even the authority wielders of the county lay victim to the sudden spread of civil discontent.
It has been noted during many of minor riots bursting throughout Orl that the current standing retinue in Orl blamed the Paschen militia for inciting peasant revolts, which they vigorously denied. Tensions ascend in both the common man and the armed authority. Those suffering from the looters and criminals of the riots plea out to their lords to disband the unification, as it was the Kade tyrants decades past that killed their kin and kith.
Meanwhile in the Duchy of Vultaro, the people of Thraceia grow ever-so wilder. Whole keeps are said to have fallen to the armed militias of peasants roaming the countryside, inciting chaos and disorder wherever they go. They still go from city to city, keep to keep, burning, marauding, and destroying as they please. Witnesses from the duchy have reported horrors displayed by the rioters. From fathers wielding pikes decorated with the heads of city officials to the constant weeping of mothers and children, the wandering mobs have caused one of the most destructive and chaotic displays of civil unrest the country has seen in decades. "Our sons! Our sons for nothing!" They were said to have cried, marching through the lands, demanding the blood of the Wynters and Lamperouges alike. It is only a matter of time when the riots spread into the surrounding counties.
In other news, the Crown Prince was said to have gone through all the legal and political processes necessary to affirm the Duchy of the Regal Crown, perhaps the most valuable asset of land. Holding the capital of the empire along with other valuable assets to the running of the city of Regalia, the Duchy of the Regal Crown is a valuable piece in title and matter.
Along with the affirmation of the ducal title, the Crown Prince is also in the process of being lawfully affirmed as the Imperial Emperor. His coronation is expected to occur sometime soon as well, and with his coronation comes to recognition of the Imperial family, being the Crown Prince's siblings and father. The following members of the House Kade are to be recognized as Princes and Princesses of the realm as of now: His Imperial Grace Thomas of the House Kade, Imperial Princess Amalia of the House Kade, Imperial Prince Dominic of the House Kade, and His Imperial Grace Moriarty of the House Kade.
