Realm Of Dreams

The young yanar gently kicked her legs back and forth over the edge of the floating island. The night sky looked so different in the forest dream. Barely any stars, if those were even stars. She had been visiting the real of dreams for the past few nights some kind of narcolepsy making her fall asleep at the straightest of times while keeping her awake during the nights. Moving herself into the forest dreams seemed to help even though it was a lot quieter today. Normally rows of evergrowth mages would walk past chatting and meeting up. Normally her grandmother sat with her as well but apparently she had better things to do today.

Slowly she drew a few lines in the sand sighing as her marks didn't seem to leave an imprint. Confused she tried again but the ground didn't budge for her finger. She looked up as now seemingly no one was around. Had something happened to the mages? To the forest, was something wrong? She stood taking a few steps as pain struck threw her. Groaning in pain she looked down to find a knife pushed deeply into her chest, glowing hot like coals as it burned at her leafy skin. She didn't know how it had gotten their as she turned a faint masked figure running away from her into darkness. Her vision started to fade as she collapsed.

Suddenly she shook awake her head hitting the roof her bunk bed getting to big for her. Rubbing her forehead she tried to calm her breathing holding her chest as nothing had happened to it. To her side the vine laid limp never having actually brought her into the dream realm. Still it had all felt so real. She rolled over once more to many thoughts crossing her mind to sleep now.
