She could hear a string quartet playing somewhere off in the distance as she waited for her cue, still absorbing sustenance from the starlight. Soon enough her brother came to greet her with a nod and he quickly hurried back to the ceremony to take his place. The Archon adjusted her silk Woven Belt one last time and took to the skies to land at the end of the aisle. It seemed that the decorators she and Senira hired outdid themselves, the Isldar taking a moment to admire the combination of Sihai and Bene Vixit cultures. Her admiration was short lived as soon as she laid eyes upon Senira who waited for her at the altar. She was a vision in her powder blue robes and Belt. Asteria took another steadying breath and started gliding down the aisle with her twin as if they were skating upon ice. A smile was sent to all in attendance, most namely to her only bridesmaid, Duanna and Rodrigo who was standing at the ready to officiate their marriage. Asteria saw Senira doing the same to Maiyusa, Heishan, and Haqet who all sat in the front row. The Isldar squeezed the hand of Countess Peirgarten, Amelina, as she walked past the Crown Witch with gratitude in her eyes for the encouragement. Finally, she had reached her destination and Firavel handed her off to Senira. She nodded to her twin as he went to take a seat. The Isldar went to capture the hand of the Sihai, drawing herself fully in front of her betrothed. Rodrigo began the ceremony with practiced words about the importance of this day and their eternal love. Their clasped hands began to glow as Asteria's ice magic flowed into thin ropes around their wrists and hands as if biding them together. Both women said their vows with tearful conviction, the sweetness of the moment almost tooth-rotting but beautiful. The ice ropes disappeared as it was time to exchange rings, both taking extra care with the other's. After a few more lines from Rodrigo, Senira reached up and sealed their vows with a kiss. Their lips seperated and their hands joined once more, both turning to the crowd and raising their joined hands together in triumph. It started to snow around the Dragon Temple, Asteria's magic leaking out in elation. Both her and Senira surveyed the crowed as everyone clapped and cheered, taking a mental note of Irosho Ma, Saizhou, Count Roox, Astrid, Ashe, Elena, Lirh du Poncaire and Vivenne. There were some she did not recognize like Kabili and Countess Blarach who she would have to search for later. Asteria soon began to laugh at Astrid's great enthusiam for their marriage, giving them a wave in thanks. Senira swooped Asteria up in one fluid motion, the Isldar screeching in suprise and glee as she was carried to the dance floor for their first dance. The rest of the night would be spent laughing, dancing, and drinking.
