It was a bleak and dreary day, one that seemed to go on and on and on for Juliette. The girl sat perched in on the couch, staring out the window at the constant falling rain of Regalia, one that never seemed to end and simply had momentary pauses for a breath. She held a book in her hands, one of about animals that she'd never see till she was older as they lived far off in distance lands such as in Farah'deen or Fendarfelle. She sighed and wrapped her blanket around her tighter, one she had dragged off her bed and to the couch. No one else was home and she didn't feel like wandering around in the rain today, it was depressing and she wished to feel the hot air of her Ithanian home again and not the cool, wet air that surrounded the estate of the Le Seurs and everywhere else in the Holy City. She drew a breath in and let it out as a bored sigh, the book forgotten in her hands.
Her gaze out at the rain must of lured her to sleep before when she opened her eyes the sky was dark, the rain had stopped, but the house was still empty as expected. She sighed, long and soft, as she stood, shuffling to her room and setting her blanket back on the bed yet not caring to remake it for in just a few hours she would be off to sleep again. No, instead she wandered down the stairs, combing her fingers through her tangled locks and retying it up with another sigh. This was her life now, one ruled by either the frosty snow or the pouring raining, there was never a time of none. So the girl opened the door of the estate to hear a quiet tapping as rain began to fall once more on the city and she walked from the house and began her way through the maze of the city to find her way back to the tavern.
Regalia was an odd place compared to Juliette's peaceful childhood home. Here there was always conflict and blood, rain, drama, never was it quiet. It was only quiet when you sat in an empty, boring house and watched the rain fall steadily outside your window. And of course you can't live in the window sill. So as she traveled she thought and thought, would she rather stay in a quiet, empty house all day or be around something exciting?
Juliette didn't duck would the rain began falling again.
