Have you ever been in that situation where you have several different pieces of art for- let's say- you character- and you're having a difficult time chosing which one you'd like to chose for your avatar? Maybe some friends made art for you, and you don't want to chose between them?

What if, on each player's profile, there could be a portfolio with all art related to your characters, or other art? That way you can at least have it on your profile instead of nowhere. I think this would be awesome! What do you think?

I would spam pictures of Coffee in my portofolio. Hehehe.. :)

Story of my life. I update my avatar nearly every 2 weeks.

Problem is that image hosting on a website runs into copyright problems, as well was data bandwith usage. We've considered a deviantart like gallery before on the forum, but decided against it because the vast majority of the users are already using copyrighted material for their avatars, which as thumbnails is fine, but we don't want to publicly mirror artwork.

You could have some sort of system where the image has to be accepted? And to avoid so much traffic of images needing to be accepted have a time "cool down"? Or perhaps you can have a small file with your images, and if it is copyright someone else can "Report" it?

And perhaps there could be some sort of image restriction? Premium members can have 'so many' pictures, while non premium would have less?

one thing.
jealousy.
people can easily report it for copyright because they are jealous.
Today, a video of Rammstein got barred from youtube cause Copyright issues, all fine and dandy.
But the video stood on Rammsteins official channel. That is just not right, youtube Copyright policies are insanly easy to abuse if you are jealous. This button would too, unless you have something more elaborate in mind?

Isn't there some genious image recognizer program out there on the glorious internet we could use? But yes, like @MonMarty said, that would leave like 90% of the forum population without images.

On the other hand, perhaps these Galleries can be just that- exclusive galleries of art made by people from Massive specifically for you?

Well you could have a system that when an image is reported, only staff can "Accept" that report and do something about it and when the report button is clicked they would have to provide the link to the original picture. If staff also see that the image is copyrighted they can delete it and warn the user.
