From the desks of the Secretaries for the Magi

In the past weeks, there has been a greater focus on Sorcery and the recently opened Arcanum Institute. As such, the Secretaries for the Magi release the following:

In regards to Sorcery:

It has come to our attention that Sorcerers have been using the spell Evergrowth to vandalise the streets of our Holy City. The Secretaries for the Magi would like to remind the Sorcerer population that using Sorcery to hinder the populace is illegal, and that misuse will be punished by the Violet Order.​

If these events persist, heavier measures will be taken.​

In regards to The Arcanum Institute:

If any of the following rules are infringed upon, the Arcanum Institute will face immediate termination.

The Arcanum Institute is subject to Violet Order inspections at least once a week.

The Arcanum Institute may only accept registered Mages and Sorcerers into the school, regardless of Student or Teacher position.

The Arcanum Institute is required to be transparent with the Ministry for the Magi regarding their roster of Teachers and Students.

The Arcanum Institute is aware that teaching new Magic and or Sorcery is strictly illegal.

The Arcanum Institute may only teach discipline, meaning Students will be taught only how to use their Sorcery and or Magic in a non-destructive, socially acceptable way to serve the Empire.

The Arcanum Institute building is the only place where Teachers and Students may cast Magic legally, but only under the supervision of a Violet Order member.​

In regards to any form of Special Dispensation:

The list has been updated, with all past applications having been processed as of the 29th of January, 308 AC. To apply for any Special Dispensation, please contact one of the Secretaries for the Magi.

Ilyvaeia Nilovenisyl has had her White Mage permission revoked due to lack of service to the Empire. We would like to remind all White Mages that in order to uphold the permission, one must serve as an example to all aberrants, in behaviour and duty.​

Magical Artifact Dispensation

For the safety of the object and the carrier, this list will not be released to the public. Note that this type of Dispensation will only be granted if the Artifact is deemed safe, and if the owner is deemed responsible.​

In Conclusion:
The Secretaries for the Magi would like to remind the citizens of Regalia, both mundane and aberrant, that misuse of any abilities or spells can and will result in punishment equivalent to the crime. We request the populace to report any misuse and misconduct regarding anything aberrant to the Violet Order, so we may keep our Holy City safe.
