The Problem
Remember Daendroc? Visitors to Daendroc spawned facing South and, more often than not would simply run in that direction. It stood to reason then that the very instant that "Wilderness" appeared on your screen you were all of the sudden surrounded by a wasteland, a decimated landscape of nerd poles, gaping holes and worse.
These were the days BEFORE MassiveRestore.
Arvallon and I spent many months restoring (by hand) that desolate scrap heap South of Daenshore... but it was a lost cause. No sooner had we finished than some punk would come along and dig everything up in an effort to grind McMMO levels (or just to piss us off).
Take a look at Hyarroc. Now that MassiveRestore waits for 6 months it is happening again.
And with all factions now facing living together in the same three maps it will get worse.
The Solution
MassiveRestore operates at 2 week intervals in the chunks closest to spawn and then slows down as it moves further away from spawn. Simples.
