So, we all know that premiums can get in even when the server is full, so my idea works with that. The idea is simple: when the server restarts, premiums can't log in for exactly 5 minutes. This gives the server time to fill up with those pesky non-prems (i love you all) before the premiums come in and take over all the slots. Since we can log in when the server is full, it will not harm the premiums except that they need to wait a little bit to log back in (which I don't consider a problem if it means more people can log on).

Personally I already wait until there are at least 100 people in the server before I log on, usually more. Just want to make it universal. So, what do you all think, and is this even possible to do?

I don't agree with this. If the restart was at a busy hour, and possibly 150 non premiums log in at once, then the server would be full (obviously). After that, the premiums will continue to log in, lets say: 50. There, the server has 200/150 people. This would disrupt the server's balance and no other non-premiums will be able to come on for a good amount of time. This would greatly disrupt the balance at every restart.
I have experienced the server at 164/150... when I was non-preme. It's pretty hard to log in...
Now imagine 200/150, and it may be more or less, but it would still take time for the balance to come back into place.

The approved solution to the problem of logging in is the completion of sharding. Any other proposal, at this time, is a waste of everyone's time.

Fair enough Cole, though your sig makes it hard to take you seriously haha. I suppose I didn't think that one through :)

Yendor, I know about Sharding, this was simply to give non-prems a better chance at getting on the server.

Cole pointed out flaws I had missed, so this thread can be locked now.
