Intro:
Everyone loves using emotes, right? From livening up role-play and making dramatic scenes, it's all good. But what about combat?

The Main Idea:
It takes a bit too long to type an emote in midst combat. You waste precious time to type and say Psychomind attacked fearlessly. An alternative to this is the possibility to set emotes ahead of time. One way you could set emotes ahead of time could be through the use of commands. The commands may have to be changed, but I'm thinking of /emoteset (#) emote here. 'Emoteset' would be the command, '#' would be the number of the emote. You could have up to 3 set emotes for non-prems, and more for premium (Or make this whole feature premium in the first place).

To use the emotes, I saw a potential possibility. The way I prefer (Or some similar use of commands) is to use /emotebind (#). This would bind the emote of the number typed to your item in your hand item. And when clicked left/right or used, it could give off an emote. It is great for lore too! You can have an lore item like ex: Staff of Exile, and have an emote bound to it, so when you use the staff, it could say, ex: Psychomind pushed back his opponent. It would help magic items seem a bit more 'magical' too. And in the case of spammers with these emotes, there can be a timer.
And if you wanted to remove the current emote in hand, a simple use of /emoteremove could be used.

That's my idea, can't wait to see all of the comments and arguments.

Interesting, but you'd still be free to attack in your own way, right? Sorry, just a little confused.

Alright, so this emote binding feature would help so you can use emotes in combat without having to type it all out. Hit a person with your emote bound sword, and the emotes would appear in chat as you fight. You can still attack and not have to type, for the emote binding could be done before hand.

Does this help clear things up a little?

I'm not sure about the main Idea as that would involve PvPers who don't really care about emotes which are an RP thing. However binding emotes to items could be an interesting idea for RPers

True, not necessarily a big pvp thing. I guess I made it sound combat orientated, huh. Well I guess you can also use it to just delay the pauses in roleplay, make it a bit more fluent.

I'm gonna agree with @TheFinitePeach at first, I was like, is this for pvp, or RP combat?

It wouldn't exactly be useful, or commonly used, if used at all among PvPers, however.. It would be brilliant for Roleplayers, who want to speed up roleplay a bit, or want to speed up Roleplay combat. The only downside to it is (for Rpers) is that a lot of Roleplayers change the things they emote, to add variation, or because of an action done by another player. As both a PvPer, and a Roleplayer, I would probably use it more in roleplay, than in Pvp, because there is simply no use for it, in Pvp. I'd rather not spam my chat, while mashing my mouse button, to brutally maime my opponent. Otherwise, it is generally a good idea, for those who want to speed up their roleplaying.

Ok, so overall not really a pvp idea. Got it. But any suggestions to improve it roleplay style?
