Invis and disguise basically does the same thing so there is no reason to why they would not add invis pots

Saying the disable/enable particles is irrelevant. Yes particle effects have a major strain on poor computers. Iv seen them make the difference of unplayable or not. Even take the giant shop as an example. These particles are also in rain, and I hate rain so I turn particles off. Just because you can, it must be worked with. You CAN install cheating clients, but we have preventative measures. I'm all for adding invis but arguing particles is weak. You shouldn't be punished so severely for having a bad computer.

Um, you could just turn it off at shops? Not sure why it ALWAYS has to be off. I've ran tests in the rain with particles off and my FPS didn't change at all.

If you hate rain so much, /pweather is a thing fam

A majority of people don`t have computers that magically become useless when particles are turned off, so I don`t see why the server should gravitate around the minority. You could apply that to almost anything.

"I don't have a mouse and use a trackpad, therefore mouse users should be punished"
"I don't have a good enough computer to render above 5 chunks so the server chunk settings should be set to 5 to make it fair for me"

Poll results speaks for itself anyway

The entire point is we have to be open to everyone. That's why we try and keep lag down and frames up. For a better experience and for those with poor computers. We could add tons of stuff but then some of your best friends wouldn't be able to play. Not saying specifically YOUR friends because I know you're going to try and argue that. The point is that a lot of people do have good computers but a lot of people don't. Besides, I would love for invis to be back, as Iv already stated before. The point is we have to be open to everyone and balance it accordingly.

How does invis increase lag or decrease fps? Again, I doubt enabling particles when you're not at shops will make massive unplayable

I like the idea. Theres alot of counters I feel to being invisible. Particles, holding a weapon, potion particles, armor, and also the sound of another players footstep.

idek tbh it's just a weird argument and Maytee/aprader wants to be contrarian
First of all. Rude
Second, particles do cause lag especially with poor computers. Sometimes the best frames you get is 20 or so on a good day and rarely that good anyways. Even a few frames difference can mean the difference between playable and unplayable. If you really want to continue arguing with me I can send a pm of a video I will make. I will also send the computer specs if you want to prove I have a good computer anyways.

People having 20fps would be a tiny minority on the server. So I don't see why changes to the game should be made or broken based on what they think. Secondly, how would particles lag your computer if there were no particles around, and considering that people have already pointed out that invis has few particles anyway, this argument doesn't make sense. By that logic, buildings shouldn't be added to Regalia because it has the potential to MAYBE at SOME point lag someone's already laggy game. Maybe you need to upgrade your computer fam

Yeah.. winterless is right.

Invis would be no more than any other potion. We aren't talking like every shop chest at the market particles...... It's just another potion. And if your computer cannot handle vanilla Minecraft experience, then I don't know what to tell you

I already stated I wanted invis back. And that I already had a good computer. My point is that particles do indeed cause lag, very minor but they do. There are a lot of people with poor computers, far more than you think. I don't think it's fair to make invisible players 100% invisible to them because they can't turn particles on. They simply can't due to a crappy computer that is already strained. I won't be commenting on this post anymore since I have already given my opinion on it. Invis is probably fine and particles do cause lag. That's it

Right but your forgetting the caveat that it goes away when you become pvpactive. So once either they get hit or you get hit once it's not like theyll still be invisible

There are things you can do to make the particles invisible to everyone... I personally think that would be balanced. Again, invis players would be a one-hit kill.

Also I agree that a if a few potion particles make the game unplayable or close to unplayable or even is enough to make you feel you have any sort of disadvantage, then you aren't gonna be PvPing anyways (cause everyone has potions on anyways) and idk why you'd absolutely need to see where invis players are outside of PvP. Its like turning off particles in fishing: It sucks but if your computer can't handle it you just kinda don't fish. its not really game-breaking or essential to minecraft, its just a side thing that you're slightly less good at. I understand that unlike fishing, situations involving invis are more imposed upon you by other players, but again if you can't see particles anyways theres no need for you to be on the edge of your game cause you already don't have a good enough computer to be a PvP legend. Don't get me wrong: we should still ask premiums to turn off /glow at events cause thats an intense thing that literally makes people's screens go black but I think thats about where the catering to 20-fps players should end
