Once again there is a spilt concerning premium benefits, and once again does the concept of perspective get thrown out the window.

People know that Cayorion is the owner of the server as well as the owner of many custom-made and well-managed plugins. They also know that he needs premiums to join to make sure that he can forge a living out of the server.

What people don't particularly get is that Cayorion, at any time, can pick up everything on MassiveCraft and just drop it.

This means that he can just shut down the entire system and leave to go find a better job as a software developer, meaning that he will earn 3x more money and not be as pressured with public demands on this server.

Yet why does he stick around? Well, this is where perspective comes into play. Cayorion does this because it's fun for him. It's fun to meet new and interesting players with ideas. It's fun to manage a server where multiple types of communities can flourish together. But it isn't fun when he has to put up with whining and non-constructive criticism.

Cayorion doesn't want to make a tough decision, and the complaining isn't helping him make that choice. He has to figure out and brainstorm different ways he can help keep the server happy, and when people start to get mad about something he has done, you can only expect the same back. Except he doesn't resort to the anger method, and he doesn't lose his temper.

Imagine how you would feel if you were in that situation where you had to decide on a certain topic, where the wrong choice could ultimately shut down the server you've loved and spent time on for over 2 years.

This is what Cayorion has to do, every single day, from the moment he wakes to the second he falls asleep. And when he has to go to bed knowing that a certain group of players are unhappy with him, don't you think that he becomes even a tiny bit frustrated with everybody around him?

And now, since cookies aren't working, let's try a cake.

Hopefully this will make you keep perspective in mind as you type, and empathy in heart as you speak.

Thank you for putting it into a better perspective :D. I may not have been one of the ones screaming "get rid of prems", but I did find the advantages a bit unfair to those who could not get premium (like me). Although I still find the advantages a bit unfair, I see the point in adding more perks to attract people to it. So thank you Imb for the better perspective on things and by explaining why there still needs to be prems.

I never thought of it like that. Thank you for sharing that with us.

You cheap crumbums give Cayorion more money this instant!

Is there a way to "donate" to the server rather than just buying premium. I have found in my life that if you ask for donations and people love what you do, they can be very generous.

There is, but in most cases, we require anyone wishing to donate beyond the premium donations contact a direction member, we have a very strict no benefit policy that will need to be agreed upon by the donator and the server staff.

He's telling lies! The cake! It's a lie!

OT: Fully agree, and to be fair, the only reason I want premium is to make it easier for people to notice my text while RPing and the backpack.

ą¹–Ū£ŪœNot going to lie, one of the reasons I stopped posted on the thread was mainly because I wasn't going where I intended, and ended just massing up people to take a more hostile approach of screaming "FACK" rather than doing something along the lines of stating reasons against it. I did the same thing myself, certainly not as proud of it as I originally was. >_>

Thank you, Cayorian! :D You've given such a great gift to all of us.

Dear Cayorian,
Thank you so much for putting a bit of happiness into everyones day. I'm sure Massive means the world to the players on it, and thanks to you, it still does. Without this server, I could've never met some of the brilliant people I have so far (and more to come I hope.) So thank you, for all the hard work you put into the server, hope you have a wonderful day!

And the diamond armor bonus is what happens when you keep perspective in mind. :)

By the way, here's a present to all the players and staff!
