Height: 6’2” Personality Lawful Neutral INTJ-A Estel Worship (6/10) Life Story Born in Ol Lavei Tyrai in 270 A.C., Paerallas like many of his sub-race had a Fin’ullen father and Lesarra mother. While Paerallas’s father only stayed in the city for a few years following the Lesarra’s birth before departing, the young child easily picked up the Plains Altalar the Finu’llen had learned during his travels. Paerallas’s mother was a scholar of a variety of subjects, particularly those involving magic though she was as frenetic in her interests as the average Lesarra and could often be found pursuing the effects of a specific herb or anatomy of a certain magical-altered animal. Paerallas was placed in an apprenticeship at age 5 by his mother under a mentor by the name of Nysela. Nysela, much like Paerallas’s mother, was a scholar who for the most part focused on the arcane and immediately began teaching Paerallas and her other pupils on the nature of arken, mages, curses, and other topics of interest to the Lessara. During this time, Paerallas learned Kathar Altalar from some of the books on blood curses he had studied. In addition to his varied purely intellectual pursuits, Paerallas became somewhat proficient at playing the flute. This particular interest was chosen due to the flute’s rather quiet and unobtrusive nature, making it one of the few the Lesarra could tolerate during their studies. During one two year long spree of lessons on anatomy when Paerallas was 17, he learned basic medicine and picked up the ability to sketch figures and people with some accuracy. After finishing his basic studies under his mentor at age 20, Paerallas was faced with the decision of what he should do in line with the Lesarra’s place on the wheel of time. While he did try his hand at writing treatises and studying ruins of Altaan cities, Paerallas found very little satisfaction in it, desiring a role that allowed him to more directly advance the Altalar race. Paerallas would find what he was seeking when he found work as a scribe under a Teledden aristocrat in Tyrai. While serving as a scribe and assistant to this Teledden, Paerallas would hone his naturally quiet and unassuming nature allowing him to act as a quickly forgotten presence behind the man. The Lesarra more fully developed his own system of short-hand and coded writing during this time so he could quickly document the important conversation points of the Teledden while ensuring none snooped through the papers. This along with a quickly-made observant eye and the usefulness of spells he had learned during his education under his mentor made Paerallas a welcome, if sometimes overlooked, helper in his employer’s life. This would go on for many years with Paerallas moving from one employer to another as he travelled the many Altalar states, even picking up the crude Ailor languages of common and New Regalian at one of his boss’s requests. One of the more underhanded tasks he was asked to do during this time was become more quick-fingered, whether that be for the quiet passing of objects or the lifting of a particularly interesting paper off a Teledden’s rival. In 309 A.C. following news of the numerous magical happenings in the Regalian Empire and due to a growing feeling of boredom, Paerallas decided to take a ship to the heart of the Regalian Empire and find what awaited him there and what fellow Altalar he could find.
