In facial expressions and demeanor Otto appears more serious and much like his Father with his black hair and square nose. In terms of his body, Otto is an average Alt-Regalian. Although he did play sports with his childhood friends often, he spent an equal if not more amount of time in the Library reading and gaining knowledge. Otto dresses as a Middle-Class Commoner. Personality and Abilities As perceived by others, Otto appears dutiful and at ready. He is generally in a good mood and will always tackle the problem with a zeal that is often unmatched. Otto's loyalty to his family and the Empire is to be admired, However he seems stubborn in accepting ideas and opinions from other equals and inferiors. He will often shut you out if you speak ill of something he holds dear or respects. Internally to self, Otto is set in his belief that everyone has an agenda, owing to the fact that he grew up during the Regalian Pessimism and lessons from his Father, who lived during the Drachenwald Crisis, He desires and craves to be of value to his superiors, lest they forget about him and his loyalty, and demands respect from his equals. Towards friends and family, Otto has a good relationship with all of his family except his Father, who like his father before him kept nothing more than a mentor/apprentice type relationship. His father believed that the father's duty to his son was simply to teach him about the world. Nothing more, Nothing less. Yet hypocritically, Heinrich showed more favor to Otto's elder brother Rudolf during their childhood and still to this day. This has made Otto somewhat bitter towards his father and has made Otto critical of hypocrites and liars whom he considers scum. Around friends whom he has known long enough, he is much less serious and can take a joke more easily. Building a comfortable life for themselves is something Otto's siblings have made into a competition, Likewise so was attempting to earn their father's favor. Being a conservative, Otto constantly tries to maintain the Status Quo unless the change would be to the benefit of the Reich and Humanum. He dislikes people who agitate for change without valid reasons, and absolutely despises Rebels, Anarchists and other scum of Aloria. Regarding Worldview, As a Unionist, Otto believes and follows the Creeds set forth by the Spirit. It is his belief, that all Aloria will one day be guided by Humanum and the Spirit. Seeing as the Spirit is infallible, whenever War comes, Otto will always believe in Victory for the Reich and will shout down defeatists and anti-expansionists that dare think that Regalia would lose. Talents Quick: Otto has a surprising gift. He is always able to get the job done quickly, although it is granted that the speed changes depending on the job, seeing as he's only human. Obedient: Otto spent his entire childhood and teenage years taking orders from his father and his mentor. Otto has become so Obedient that when he is given an order from a rightful authority he obeys and carries it out without thought or hesitation. Whomever earns his loyalty most likely would have a loyal man in Otto for life. Hasty: While being hasty can be good for getting the job done quickly, it can lead to Otto assuming or jumping to conclusions that are false. Quirks Metathesiophobia: Otto fears change, this goes back to when the Chrysant War was declared. He was so used to the Pessimism that the sudden change made him scared. It takes some convincing for Otto to accept the change that has happened and this can lead to him not adjusting to his new reality sometimes. Childhood 1-10 Raised by his mother and father who cultivated the Alt-Regalian culture and way of life into him. Kept to himself when it came to his sibling, Rudolf. At 8 years old, his sister Traudl was born. Learned early on from his brother how to read and write. This was encouraged by his father. The Chrysant War begins when he is 3 years old, Witnesses the end of the Regalian Pessimism. Becomes a Patriot and an avid supporter of the Empire. Teenage Years 11-15 Continues his education, focusing mainly on the subject of History. Began apprenticing under a store owner who often worked with merchants. Began thinking of putting his services to the local house. Began to be more friendly with his brother Rudolf, whom was preparing to join the Navy, while already having a healthy relationship with his sister. Chrysant War ends when he is 14, the results of the war instills into Otto the belief that defeat is impossible with Regalia. Later Teenage Years 16-19 Finished his apprenticeship, learning how the local economy worked, along with the sense to haggle. Began helping out his father who was a mover of goods as a scribe to keep the business ledger updated. After seeing his brother off to his new post with the Navy, Otto becomes a supporter of the Imperial Navy. Recent Times 20-Present Moved to the Crown City seeking a better job and to experience, in his mind, The Glorious Imperial City. During the Lo occupation, Otto went back to Büchner and spent the duration of the occupation with his family. Upon the end of the Lo occupation, Otto returned to the Crown City and took up a job as Bartender of The Den of Dragons, a House Drache owned entity, thus fulfilling a desire to work for the House and in the Imperial City, no less.
