One Last Thread

The warmth of the fire place, and the crackling of lumber filled the room, as Merril sat on her couch, simply staring at the flames, an empty bottle of whiskey on the floor in front of her. She sighed.
Drink more. Indulge yourself. Loth won't have to know. Kill them.
Her fingers clawed the wood of her couch as she sat there, the wordless voices egging her on, continuing to drive her mad. Months this has been going on, and it's gotten to being unbearable.
Have fun. Break them.
Go out and drink. Make them suffer.
Indulge your fantasies. Give them reason to fear you.
Loth will never know. Loth will never know.
She couldn't stand these voices anymore.
Snap.
Suddenly, Merril realized something. She quietly stood up, trying to focus on something in her head. Something she never noticed.
Indulge yourself. They must suffer.
Drink until you drop to the floor. Let them feel your hate.
One last voice. Buried deep away in her mind. Now that she noticed it, all the other voices grew dull and quiet. She couldn't help but focus solely on this one voice.

Go out and have the fun you've been missing this whole time.
Go, and make them feel pain.

A wicked grin grew upon her face. She knew just what to do.

OOC NOTE: From now on, Merril is going to be acting a bit.. Differently. I won't say in what way, and I'd prefer that people don't react to this IC. Keep all replies OOC, as this all happened late at night, in the comfort of her home. Also, the voices Merril is hearing are coming from her own head, which are being brought up because of her ring's influence, which was possessed due to a rather strange and hostile Shendar.

Side note. Can possessed items speak/commune with owners? Didn't think they could last time I checked.

Edit:

"Objects which are possessed don't move of their own power nor speak in evil tongues, as popular folklore dictates. Rather, they radiate a form of will onto any sentient being around them, much like a sensation Hex would try to convince a person to engage in a certain action. For example, a staff infested with a greed manifestation might cause its wearer to wish to steal from others around them, affecting their mind like a creeping paranoia or desire. Possession of objects is generally not seen as entirely dangerous because it has no dangerous long term effects on a person. Removing the object from the affected person's presence will usually sever its effect."
