    Personality and Abilities

How is she perceived? Nicolette is often perceived by others as reserved yet curious and will likely be seen scrutinizing those who address her. She closely follows the belief that first impressions are highly important. This meaning she’s often observant of, not only the people around her, but also her general surroundings. Lastly, depending on her emotions, Nicole can occasionally come across as acidulous; when caught in a bad mood or when she’s been blatantly disrespected, she is likely to have a more bitter, sharper, tone to her voice. That being said, Nicolette, more than anything, is as stubborn as a mule- something which she likely inherited from her kin.

Inner feelings? Nicole- while not seeming like it- carries many insecurities. Due to her strict upbringing, Nicolette constantly tries to present herself in a respectable manner, intending to, in some way, make her mother proud and prove herself to her family. While having grown more comfortable within her own skin, she still has flaws which irritate her. Growing up with four siblings and a fairly judgemental mother, it’s inevitable that ‘jokes’ jabbing at Nicole’s anxieties haven’t helped to boost her confidence. She has the rare tendency to doubt herself, keeping the majority of her beliefs private. Reputation being an important thing Nicolette strives to keep positive.

Acting around close friends and family? Nicolette is very different with her family and close friends to when she’s surrounded by strangers. She is seemingly more playful and cheerful around those she loves, being able to feel more open with her opinions and beliefs as well as being overall accepting of who her friends and family are as people, able to look past the imperfections they worry about. Not forgetting she can often come across as a little overprotective as she never wishes for any harm to come to those she loves. Although she often tries to be independent and deal with her problems alone as to try and keep from putting the burden of her problems onto loved one's shoulders- not wanting them to feel under pressure or stressed.

Morality? Depending on what angle you view Nicolette at, she can either seem neutral or good when it comes down to morality. Because she intends on keeping a good reputation, Nicole tries to make the best choices. Though on occasion, she has to make choices which boost her personal gain instead- which Nicolette attempts to avoid when possible. She sees other people’s corrupt doings on a spectrum going from bad to utterly terrible. This meaning she either tries to forgive the less awful deeds or she seeks a just punishment for the deeds which are simply unacceptable not only in her opinion but in the eyes of others and society.

    Talents

Traditional Healing- Having attended the School of Biology, her knowledge of traditional healing is one of use to the community. Not only does she know how to deal with injuries but she’s put her skills to good use as well as being able to help others. After years of studying and practise, Nicolette is worthy to help the injured.

Archery- Having been taught the sport alongside her twin sister when they were both young children, Nicole knows her way around a bow. Despite the years of enjoyment in the sport, it came as a true shame when she had to stop when she left for the School. As soon as she returned home, she immediately tried to resume where she’d left off- albeit, it took some hard work and patience- but to this day, she’s progressing. That being said, she’d never use her arrows against people- rather, using her bow and arrows while hunting.

Cleithrophobia- Not to be confused with claustrophobia- fear of small spaces- Nicole’s terrified of being trapped. During Nicolette’s childhood, she always enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time as she could out in the fresh air. Her fear of being trapped gradually developed over her younger years as she didn’t wish to be confined which eventually grew to a fear to which Nicole still feels prominently today.

Acrophobia- It’s still unknown why Nicolette hates heights. Perhaps it was because she was never really exposed to the concept as a child therefore never managed to become used to it? Or maybe even, the fact she could fall is what terrifies her most? Despite the possibilities, what Nicole does know is that being high up makes her utterly anxious and will try to steer clear of heights. If she’s forced to be up high, it sets her body in a sense of panic to where she then crumbles under the fear.

    Roselyne-Geraldine d’Eluise (@Femma)- Nicolette’s beloved twin sister.

    Madeleine d’Eluise (@Ryria)- Nicole’s terrifying mother.

Vivienne d’Eluise (@Ryria)- Her spoilt little sister who deep down she cares for.

Bastian d’Eluise (@Aespair)- Nicolette’s younger brother, mature but also annoying on occasion.

Mathieu d’Eluise (@Suzzie)- Her other little brother, his confidence always manages to surprise Nicole though it’s unsurprising when he’s Viv’s brother…

Lola d’Eluise (@AestheticEgg)- Nicole’s aunt who she respects and enjoys spending time with as she can be open.

Edelinne d’Eluise (@Levanta)- She has yet to truly learn who her younger cousin is as a person though she’s still good company.

    Wilfrid d’Eluise (@HodlinG)- Her apathetic uncle…

    Life Story

Nicolette-Laurine d’Eluise was born on the sunny morning of July 24th, 283 AC. Her twin sister, Roselyne, being born just a couple of minutes before her- which she always enjoys to remind Nicole of. Raised in Vixhall, it was necessary that she learnt about Ithanian Culture. Albeit, she enjoyed the writing and the music but she was never quite a natural at etiquette like her twin nor was she at all a graceful dancer. As a toddler, she never experienced the fatherly love some may be privileged enough to receive as her father had passed while being very young. Growing up, Nicole would often ask her mother about him, to which her questions were often disregarded.

By her early teens, Nicolette’s bond with her mother was minimal but she’d found a hobby she’d started alongside her sister a few years beforehand with the tutoring of their new stepfather. Due to Nicole’s slow learning she often lost patience but the fact she was already stubborn as a mule, the young Nicole wouldn’t give up a newfound activity she enjoyed. She learnt horse riding- not one of her most favourite sports- and other outdoors activities but when she began learning Archery, that was the hobby that truly stuck with her. Her youthful age and lack of strength posed many obstacles which- with support- she managed to overcome. It was only when she thought that freedom was everlasting did things take a slightly sharper turn. The twins grew further apart even after their archery training together, they were already taking separate paths. Their mother had chosen Roselyne to be heir which, honestly, Nicole became jealous of, a sibling rivalry, if you like. The d’Eluise family drifting down a difficult road altogether.

With her mother’s, frankly, toxic attitude, Nicole wanted to try something new, something which posed as a positive distraction. With her family just about managing to pay the funds, Nicolette made the difficult decision to put her love of archery at a hold and move to the School of Biology, as soon as she was able to, where she learnt the discipline of medicine for eight years. The knowledge, at times, was difficult to grasp, but she eventually got there. Making more good progress after constant practice. At the time of her return, things had changed and it was understandable that Nicolette struggled to find her feet again. She’d left at a young age and had returned to responsibilities she didn’t always wish to accept.

Having barely scraped by within the new society she’d returned to, Nicole proceeded to continue with her hobby of Archery, achievements slow at first but now, once again, she had her sister by her side. As well as the three triplets she was getting to know, she’d left the three not truly knowing who they were as they were so very young but she came back to grown up, somewhat mature, sixteen year olds. Throughout the years of unfortunate events and the unbelievable washing over the city of Regalia, Nicolette has managed to stand tall with her chin up. Keeping her mother at a safe distance and focussing on the subjects she enjoyed, there was a light amongst the darkness. Hope amongst the destruction.

    Here's my review -
    • Visual Information
      • Please choose one and only one body build, as they are meant to be rather distinctive.
    • Personality and Abilities
      • The third paragraph should distinguish between friends and family more clearly.
Otherwise, a very good character sheet. Mark these changes in red and tag me when you're done.

    @Valentinian
Thank you for the review and your time! I changed the body build to a single description and tried to tweak the third paragraph to be more focused on how she is with loved ones and switched the stubborn trait to how she is generally perceived by others as it's one of her more prominent traits. ^-^
-I also added scars to the physical description as I opted out on doing expansions and deemed it somewhat necessary. (@Ryria also told me to add it)

The body build still needs to be from the listed character body builds as seen [here], but it can only be one of them.
