This independence is sometimes stifled by struggles with periods of fatigue and illness, although this has been mildly alleviated by alchemical medication. She has a plump build from an inactive lifestyle due to a chronic illness and a career that now largely consists of paperwork. Life Story Nicole was raised by a pair of traditional Dragon worshipping witches that later settled in the city of Heeresveen. She took many visits deeper to the northern bogs to visit extended Haeksen family to remain entrenched in mysticism and draconic lore. Much of her adolescence consists of practiced etiquette and skills that are expected of an Anglian woman- sewing, cleaning, cooking. At the age of seventeen, she was sold with a dowry to be married. In total, she brought up 8 babies with her husband, an impolite Blackmark she lacked any chemistry with. They created a homestead, unfamiliar territory to the urbanite, though Nicole managed to adapt, constantly juggling farm life and family during waking hours. As her children got older and self-sufficient, more time was left to herself to pursue her own passions. She published a wide collection of Frondespael novels under a pen name. Earnings from her writing were kept stashed away as a secret from her husband, but Nicole was marked a widow when he died a drunkard. Periodically, she succumbed to spells of incapacitating illness. Once her last child was an adult, the coinage she hid was used to fund a late education at the Regalian Diplomatic Academy and treatments for her ailment, later working as a scribe for a consul in the Silverwind Colonies. Here, she developed a taste for its criminal underworld, but only in the form of white collar crime- forging and stealing documents, as well as trading inconsequential state secrets. Nicole veered dangerously close to facing a prison sentence once caught scavenging through her boss’s office, but was let go with a stern warning. With hope for change, she moved to Regalia after catching wind of gossip that a couple of her children resided there.
