New World Needs Be Released Soon!

I think the new world needs to be released soon I've herd that it wont be released for awhile because it is not needed but I would disagree. The other worlds are mined out a fair amount and they are running out of room for large faction builds. Ive noticed this mainly because I've have been searching for a good coastal spot in what is my opinion a non ugly biome. Every time I find a spot i am forced to move due to land disputed of the technical and non technical nature. Plus people have building and plans for most locations so I cannot simply just take over the spot.

So just wondering who agrees with me and also what do some of the mods think I would like a more definitive answer than its not needed to state my own curiosities. Thank You

thats not what this is about the new world is done remember? they showed the map of it and so on it is not being released yet thats the issue they say its just not needed and i do know how long it takes to create a good world i use worldpainter a lot

You have to also keep in mind that sometimes plugins are written for worlds (aka Jorrhildr) and also spawn cities/settlements are made. You saw the map, sure. But who knows, was it the complete map? It may not have been complete. Also, with New Ceardia out, there is no rush for a new map. The staff has more pressing matters than a new world right now.

1 Word that may be the answer to your problem, altough it involves work: "Terraforming".
If you cant find a good place to Build a Faction then make one. It shouldnt be that hard to aquire the materials you need for that and there is plenty of unused space.
 
what.... New ceardia still has massive empty lands left over.
 
You live in Deandroc, don't you Sigil? :P

Come to New Ceardia, you'll find that about 90% of the resources there haven't been ravenged yet.

and yes i know i have to terraform lol i mean good as in an area that is to my liking and not in the way of another faction
 
Sigil, unless you're very picky about "good" then there is still a great deal of space in New Ceardia... most of the desert is unclaimed, large chunks of the savanna, the forest, and the swamp as well. Hell, there's even lots of space in the snow biom. I really don't see your problem...
 
I could see the issue if he's looking for a particular biome, and looking for a port city on the coast of something reasonable for a small fleet to be docked in. Now yes, you could always dig an 8 chunk wide river deep into the desert openness, but that'd be a metric ton of work, and it could easily ruin the look of the area.

The other issue is other factions, some of them will put up massive arguments if you try settling too close to them, even if you're 16 chunks away, because they have plans for land closer than that in the future. On the other hand you'll find factions that are on one side of a river, with no intention of working the other side, but it's less than 16 chunks away. I don't know if the server would frown on building there in that case or not, but I believe the general assumption is that area becomes wasted space and is essentially off limits. (Which would be silly in my opinion, if it truly is the case. Such cities pop up all the time in real life. It's how Twin Cities are born.)

I know from experience that New Ceardia is a pain in rear to work with due to how impossibly hilly it is. If I didn't personally know someone who enjoys long periods of nothing but digging, I wouldn't have touched it with a 10 chunk pole. But there are locations there that with time and effort will still meet loose needs. Coastal regions will always be scarce however, and you may just need to accept that your faction won't be having a port. You could dig a small river/canal to the nearest large body of water however and have small barges at a dock while still being inland. Or you could switch to an air-port and have a small fleet of airships instead.
 
the only thing i want from that new world is lore, yes the world is cool and will be awesome but Jorrhildr CAN wait for a long time due to new ceardia, the frostmane and frostmourn lore however is something i have hopes might be added soon.
 
Some questions about the new map Jorrhildr I hear it may take a month or two to come (I am waiting to build my faction their)

If you must wear leather armor to survive their if you are not a Frostmorn must you where full leather armor or just a piece? Also does the cold only affect you if you are outside when it is snowing (blizzard). Also does it snow more often then other maps?

when the map comes out is it possible to ask the admins to hollow out a mountain for us XD
