Hello All!
I, along with The_Royal_Jester are founding a charter, a scholarly charter focused on healing the masses as well as spreading Unionism.

We are planning to take visits to prisons and heal those in there.
We differ from other charters as we will heal people, and we will make rounds to ensure that any diseased bedridden people are tended to.
All our services will be free.

We will teach herbalism and some medical skills to those who are without a job.

We will provide 'Sprinters', lightly armed people with medicines who can respond to fights and brawls around the city

We have a moral code:
1. Know the Creeds.
2. Don't use bad language.
3. Respect other people.
4. Share all you have.
We seek to gain an insight into making the cure for vampirism safe for young people.
We need at least four of you guys to join up before we can apply to the staff.
Anyone who applies now may choose their position from the empty ones below:
Leader- Louby65
General- The_Royal_Jester
Captain
Captain
Head Healer

Preacher

Soldier (Officer)

We accept any character of any race. You do not need Skype to join.

May The Spirit Guide You,
Louby65

Could you elaborate more on your charter's goals? Almost every charter could say they are healing the masses and spreading unionism, scholarly or not.

Are you guys looking to obtain one of the noble goals of Alchemy? What about finding a medical breakthrough. The details are what makes the charter. Simply healing people could be done by some light mage on the street. What makes this group worthy of a charter compared to the hundreds of small alchemist or medical groups that dot the city?

Or the big question: What makes this scholarly charter different from the well-established Edelweiss Order? What makes you different from them? What can you provide to the RP environment that they haven't already done?

Hopefully these questions help you to give the community some needed information in order to attract members :)

Let me break it down a bit section by section to see if I can shed some more light:
We are planning to take visits to prisons and heal those in there.
The former guard charters had a clinic on hand. Most of the time there wasn't much in terms of healing that was needed. At most the three day cure of a vampire required some medical attention, but that's the largest aspect.

We differ from other charters as we will heal people, and we will make rounds to ensure that any diseased bedridden people are tended to.
The first part of healing people is assumed from a scholarly charter. Making runs to individual houses is a unique idea that I haven't see yet. A doctor who can visit people instead of rushing a severely ill person to a clinic is a good idea to build on.

Good idea on paper, but probably next to impossible to do IC, as any guards will just throw people in the cells and get medics there later. I'm not saying it's impossible, but from my own observances it may be hard to execute IC (because people love to just gawk at arrests and yell damn Shield, Hammer, Crimson, Halberd, Violet, etc.)

This essentially is just being Unionist and a model citizen. Not really a moral code, just expected behavior.

Probably next to impossible since that disease basically kills anything too young. It purges your body in the worst kind of sickness possible, causing children and younger people to essentially die to to too much wear on the body. While finding a universal cure to end the strain is a great idea, I don't think targeting the youngest group of individuals is useful, as if they survived the transformation, they probably will die by the cure, and are executed as such.

The way I see it, the ideas are there, but the overall scholarly charter isn't. Most of the things mentioned are assumed for a scholarly charter, or are redundant and don't require any help.

Two things stuck out to me in the whole page: Sprinters, and sending people to houses. Both of these could make your charter different from the rest. A Mobile Clinic of sorts. I'd suggest expanding the entire charter around this "we come to you, so you don't have to come to us." The idea is a good one, and would definitely provide needed assistance to those who cannot make it to the clinic.

I'd also suggest reading the charter application thread, as well as looking at the established charters to see how they organized their threads. I know this thread serves as a way to find some support on the forums to meet the required player amount, but organization with different subtopics can really help gain support. Paragraphs are your friend, and bulleted lists don't convey much information.

See what you can do with this. And good luck as always.
