Last I counted, there were two other uninhabited taverns (three until the docks were restructured.) as well as two Inns, and a couple player-run taverns (The Hidden Dragon, and The Mad House *shivers*). There are many, many more options for RP situations than the Emperor's Tavern, which is understandable that would be full of unexperienced RP'ers, and I'd like to see these less popular locations get a little more attention.

As for me, I'll keep my patronage to the Mercenary Tavern in the militant district. (or the tavern on the dock with the treasure hoard in the toilet, if it ever comes back. Q~Q)

I myself prefer Ye Olde Man and Scythe Inn.

Its quiet... and dark.. I enjoy luring people in and then drinking them dry..

Heh..

My opinion?
1) Treat everyone god rping like they are raving lunatics. Ever play Mass Effect 3? treat them like they're this guy
2) Take solace in RPing with friends and enjoy the times when you convert an idiot into an intelligent rp'er
3) Have fun <3

I always. Always go with option one. Whenever someone goes off about something that wouldn't be correct with the theme of the server in local, I treat them like they're mad.

I absolutely agree with this, God players are just ugh! I feel as if they maybe should put in a world just for them. Where they can be taught the rp way or they just never leave.

I'm listening to the Mos Eisley Cantina Band as I stand in the Emporer's Tavern. :D

But anywany... The only reason I roleplay anywhere near there is because one of the people I roleplay with lives in a house right near it. It's dreadful.

The real problem here is that there really is no strict discipline for these kind of people. There is no ban; there is no white-list. I would estimate about 50% of the people have never RPed, don't care for it, etc. You can't reach out and change them. You can only eliminate them and/or walk away.

In my opinion, I would just put a white list up on the server right now. And if not, then I would remove the Planet Minecraft ad that they told everybody to like and comment on a while ago. All it is going to get you are a bunch of trolls, plain and simple, looking to ruin fun in any way they can.

Either the server needs to take better precautions against people like this joining the server, so harsher punishment needs to be given. For an RP server where you see a bunch of people wearing modern skins and acting like robots, it doesn't look good on anybody's reputation. Just a thought from me. :)

Yeah no. Whitelists suck and reduce the amount of people that will come on Massive. I'm all for certain players being allowed to mute people for god/bad role-playing however...

There should be approved RP police XD who go and jail God RPr's. Or people who laugh/discourage RP on an RP server, personally i think that should be something we as a community are allowed to report and request temporary bans with, because what if something like that were to spread :/ then we would have alot of negative jerks.

A whitelist is a bit overwhelming I think. Just get a number of people who are good at roleplay and trustworthy with power and give them the ability to mute people for 20 minutes or so. A 20 minute mute will weed out many of the lesser trolls I think.

I like this kind of RP police thing. Have players apply on forums to become RP Police and they can hear all local chat in Regalia (maybe) and they can mute Bad RPers or maybe have a RP school made and the "police" could /tp the bad/GodRPers there and teach them

You guys stated where we should go to get away from God rpers. Don't let those fools know or they might kill us with their fiery golden God trident of dubstep Obama swag.
(Don't think they might do that..)

OMG an RP school they are forced to attend thats amazing XD

That is a good point (On the the matters) But I still dislike the tavern for its overall (as far as i've seen) Poor RolePlay quality.

And as far as the age thing.. I'm a perfect example. When I began rping (not on this server) I was under 13, I was the most God RP Rper you've ever met. ;(

But I must say, I know several people under the age of 13 with very good RP quality and lore compliance..

I'm 13, I try to follow lore best I can. Just saying. ^^
In all words however, I have noted the tavern is quite like that. However, some occasions people have called god-rp when it isn't at all, it is simply just a person being their character,
For example, my friend Harkiinara, her character is quite tall, almost to an impossible extent for her rp age, and she's supposed to be pretty strong. When a small person in RP {Shhh, not talking to you Abi, this is another person} apparently came up and said -Attempts to push Hark down- She had responded simply with -Negates him pushing, and pushes harder in return, clearly not liking him trying to knock her down- and that person called god-rp. And the worse thing is, people call that on her character a lot, just because she is being what her character was designed to be, an asshole, and a taunter.
And on another quote, a person called me a god-rper when I within RP had escaped a poorly held together chamber. William solved the puzzle and got out as he was permitted, but then the owner had called god-rp on him because she thought he 'wasn't supposed to ever make it out alive'. So to really be honest, sometimes the problem isn't just god-rping, is people calling it.
However, god-rping still is annoying as shyt. ^__^

If you've seen my post up there ^^ You'd probs know why sometimes it isn't a very good idea.

Yes god rpers are annoying, they also distract us from the main idea of rping. Thank god the mods knew what was going on and posted the sign at spawn. That was also the day I had great rp with all my friends at the spawn without being interupted.
