  • Allar have gained two new sub races, Keel and Kaam Allar.
  • Keel Allar are salamander/Gecko based Bakkran variants for the Allar who have a more ranger/hyper active niche.
  • Kaam Allar are komodo Dragon/charmeleon variants for the Allar who act as spies and have some very peculiar play mechanics because of their near-blindness and skin camouflage.
  • Updated the Mutasj-Allar to include these races.
  • Modified the Caste system a bit to accomodate these two new sub races.
  • Scaled down the Cro-Allar from 8 foot tall to 6'11 making them equivalent to Orc, so they can join the Orc-Url-Cro triangle, instead of towering above them.
  • Removed Cro-Allar from Special Permission, meaning you no longer need a special permission to play an Orc-sized Cro.
  • Widened the phsyical properties of many Allar races, allowing more racial diversity among the species, including Cro who can for example range from average to Musclegod, instead of just being confined to the latter point.
  • New Proficiencies added for the new Allar subraces.
  • Added a new Soul Shard: Silverwolf Shard, which like the Aleia, has an extremely limited number availability, but has been added in line with some additional future shards that will follow. Muh werewolves.
Further thoughts:
  • We've noticed an odd reversal of public opinion where public opinion on high-fantasy content seems to be "tastefully" swinging back in favor of high-fantasy components. This doesn't mean we're obviously going to reverse course, but it does mean we're going to try and ride that momentum by implementing some more low-key and lo-fi high-fantasy elements in reach for Permissions, but also for the sewers. We're planning on expanding the Parlor Magic component by adding more stuff to it. We're also planning on expanding Soul Sharding by adding some Old Vampire Brood Shards and some other creative stuff for Sewer goers.
  • In line with High Fantasy crap for the sewers, Low-Fantasy anti-Fantasy usually rides in for the ground level also. Expect to see more "Holy" components not just for Unionists to combat the increase of aberrant status, and more cleansing mechanics.
  • Progressions are becoming pretty stable among the Military and Noble System, with a regular system pickup every week or two weeks or so. This means that, while Billy's big posts remain the focus of the ongoing progression with the War, some of the lore staff will be running smaller side progression gigs and probably even live-server events pertaining to the Kathar war. We don't have much details on this yet, and the written component will obviously always be easier and faster to approach, but the end goal is here to make non-Nobles sewer people feel like they can have an impact on the war or the world and start their own conflict.
  • Much like the above Cro-Allar being removed from the Special Permission construct. Most of our goals align with the removal of Special Permissions purely because Special Permissions are bad and constraining. We can't always remove all Special Permissions, but we try to remove them where we can to give players freedom.
  • Also, something about Enchanted items in the future.

So for the Silverwolf Shard, do you need to be infected ICly & have the special permission for the "Bitten" effect or can you add it onto a character's backstory?

Has the Silverwolf shard replaced the Hellion form in lore, or is that still around? If it has been replaced, would characters like my own that have been Hellion in the past be considered "Bitten", even if they are no longer in that state?

No. Hellion lore is still canon, just not on the wiki because it's not usable for players. It was a form of void based imitation which came with its own problems. They are similar but not related in any way.
