I haven't been on the forums or Minecraft in a LONG time, but in my brief search I didn't see any other thread regarding this: http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/dea...-be-in-advanced-talks-to-buy-minecraft-maker/

Anyway, Microsoft is planned to make a statement regarding the deal tomorrow (Monday). What do you guys think about this? I have never liked Microsoft, and I think they're going to ruin the game completely. Paid updates, anyone?

If Microsoft land the deal, Minecraft will be made spherical.

Yes. You heard me. Spherical.
That's what Microsoft would do.
They'd also remove butter.

" The move was intended to ensure that one of the most popular games was available for the computing giant's family of devices." Due to this sentence I don't really care, if Microsoft wants to buy Mojang to make more money and make minecraft available to their mobile devices and game consoles and thats their main goal with the buyout then no big deal IMO. Of course Im sure plenty of people are worried about one of their favorite games being "ruined" I think most people are jumping the gun with this potential path being the death or destruction of Minecraft. And hey, it could always be worse. I mean EA could be the one's trying to buy Minecraft. *shudders at the thought of having to deal with EA origins*

((Also as everyone has been saying there are one or two other threads with this same exact topic, so idk if this one was needed))

Shush, we do not speak of that corporation. The legion of EA is just a myth to scare children...It, can't be...Real. >.>

The news I watch said something about Notch being too proud, so it is unlikely.

There is pride and then there is 2.5 billion dollars

Also for those bad mouthing EA. The Battlefield series is by far the best FPS series, No one else plays any sports games other than theirs, and and Sims is by far the best real life simulator.

But recently they've made some bad gameplay decisions. Battlefield 4 was VERY bad. Battlefield 3 was quite good, while Hardline looks interesting. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

Such as a previous deal for the Oculus however, there was an opportunity to make as much, if not more money if affiliation had begun. However, Markus {Notch} didn't take it for the reason being of Facebook now owning the products, all as he claims;
"Facebook is just too creepy."
I actually wouldn't be surprised if he denied such a deal.

Wait...possible Oculus Rift compatibility? I may just want this to happen...and an Oculus thingy...

EA can make good games. For example, I am a big fan of the game Spore (And Galactic Adventures). However, I do feel that they could have done better with many of their games, and gods of gaming know that Spore has the shittiest security issues on the planet -_-
