Massivecraft Diamond Shortage?

The amount of diamonds in the merchant district is very low and the prices are rising a little bit every day. Is Regalia heading into its first diamond shortage?

I have heard of closed down mines, dangerous trading routes and costy wars, what do you think is the reason?

Cause maybe new players come and buy things for high prices... The thing is, that new players don't know real price of 1 diamond, so people put high price on them.. And new players are buying them.

I have a fair amount up for sale at my shop but, not for cheap. A stack will cost 26s and a half stack for 13s.

the reason is that too many players are focus on pvp and combat training while enourmous amount of dias are used everyday to train combat or fight big battles. More warriors, less miners... that what I think..,

Cause maybe new players come and buy things for high prices... The thing is, that new players don't know real price of 1 diamond, so people put high price on them.. And new players are buying them.

This has been the case ever since the server first started, people didn't just start putting high prices for new players recently... If the anti-xray plugin is still operational, I think the economy is finally starting to feel the effects from it, which is a good thing. Also a few major wars probably contributed to this quite a bit as well.

2.Make DiamondArmor cheaper which is a NO for "All" of us (maybe..)
3.Reward people who completed MiniGame/Quest with diamond[DOUBLEPOST=1368805180,1368804823][/DOUBLEPOST]Well but will Diamond Gone out A.K.A ran out on all part of massive (no)
Because there would be some Glitcher/hacker and maybe that would be a way to find out hackers? Or maybe not ._.
But I wonder if its possible for "all" of us dig out the whole layer of diamond level (15-5) in 3 week o.o

no need for solutions. shortage of diamonds isn't a problem. i think this has been long awaited and it's probably welcomed by many.

I have large amounts of diamonds for sale, but I don't know about anyone else. Making the most out of mining takes some knowledge and skill

There are several ways to obtain diamonds other than mining that are 100% legit. If you work hard enough you will be rewarded. I think in many cases people want something for nothing or very little effort. IRL working hard is the only way to go, apply this logic in minecraft and you will be rich in the game.

This is completely unnecessary, the most recent worlds are full to the brim with diamonds, even to this date. Mine in Kelmoria or Ithania for half an hour with a fortune pick, it's not that difficult or time consuming... Or you can use excavation to obtain diamonds from dirt.

This will never happen. Diamond prices have been too low for too long. Its nice to see the price rise.

However there will be more diamonds, it can get to the point where it is as common as dirt. Then, it's price will lower, so a lot is required to get such little in return.

Nothing if you don't take time to work at it. And believe me, if you're not willing to spend hours on end to work on then you don't need to know.

If you are asking how to easily get diamonds then no one will tell you, because people do not normally purposely go out and attempt to ruin the economy like that. Other than mining, digging up dirt is your best bet. With this being said there are other ways such as fighting people and them dropping diamonds. There is no truly easy way to obtain diamonds on the server because this is minecraft after all.

Thank you sir for an informative, non-condescending answer. I wasn't asking for ez-mode diamond piles as it was in no way indicated in my questioning. The variety and scope of this server make it difficult to know these things as a new player. If it were super easy I would be bored, I am glad they take work.

One more small note about mining. Carry a stone pick, iron pick, iron block,Diamond fortune III and bucket of water. Mine cobble with the stone pick. Repair the stone pick with the iron block to build your repair skill. Break the iron block with the iron pick and gold. Water is in case you set on fire from lava.

well i mine a lot and really deep but i found diamonds once and even up to today i keep on mining i have not found any dias :'(

Don't get me wrong though, i love that there is shortage, i personally think that the combination of big wars and the anti-x-ray plugin accually doing it's job. This could contribute to the prices getting higher, and i hope to see this on all ores in time

I reckon it is defiantly a combination of people just bing to lazy to mine because of how cheap diamonds were, I have even seen a shortage in my own inventory. But I defiantly do like it, it truly represents a realistic economy.

Strip mines are really effective. But only dwarfs use it. Allot of folks just do random mining, off course you only find cobble then.

So do stripmining (grid pattern) Or a quary.
