I'm not sure how we will know who it's for, but one of the great things is that the player who gets the gift will never know who it is from. That's what makes it a "secret Santa".

Well if the drop-off location is someplace in game, it's probably going to be a hopper and you can leave a book saying what it was you left.
I don't think you find out who the item is from until it's over, or it remains a mystery.
You get told who you're going to get a gift for on the 6th in a PM.

I will give you the information for who you are gifting to.

You will not know who is gifting for you.

I will set up a drop off location in game for the items.

You drop off the items there, then send me a message via /mail or forum conversation telling me what you gifted so I know who it is for.
If I'm online, you will be able to contact me directly to drop it off to me in person.
