Ailor are masters of languages, which is expected given their habit to culturally divides. Because so many of their languages are inter-connected, various words become more obviously related, and they also take more effort to learn other languages. If someone insults an Ailor, even in a language they do not speak, the Ailor would know, as they know most curse words or words by which to speak ill of others in all languages.
Ailor are the masters of the Regalian Empire, and while it has equality between all peoples and heritages, Ailor are just by virtue of being Ailor considered preferential for most government positions and judicial situations. Where possible to do with the Nobility, with Government, or with Palace decisions, Ailor will be treated preferentially over other peoples, even if their qualifications might be lesser than the other options.
Ailor when using Syncretism can worship up to 3 Gods of their sub-dominant Religion, instead of just 1 or 2. Additionally, when Syncretizing, they gain the Mechanic of the sub-dominant Religion (except for Evolism, where only one of the Mechanics can be chosen). If your Character does not Syncretize, they gain +1 Attack Stat (Breaking Cap up to 11) against Characters that have Syncretized their mono-faith.

Manon was born in the quiet comfort of the Southwater, Rosendale clinic to a single, struggling mother. Having immigrated from Sovereign Ithania after her husband's passing, she wished for a better life outside of Ithania for her unborn child. Unfortunately, losing her husband meant Manon's mother was constantly occupied with working to earn enough Regals to support herself and her daughter. The struggle of their life did not go unnoticed by the young Manon, and they sought out to become a merchant at an incredibly young age.
By 13, they were selling anything they could get their hands on. Personal items, traded items, anything that would bring in extra income. They were not all too well known within Rosendale, but Southwater knew of the young and dedicated seller. The years passed on, and Manon gave whatever they earned to their struggling mother. It was enough to let the two move to a nicer part of the town, one sporting an old and well-kept theater.
Manon was instantly entranced by the flashy colors and intricately costumed actors. The way each one could switch their costume and become somebody entirely different brought them a foreign delight. She also held interest in the debates and protests around the area and the different campaigns representatives would run. The idea that somebody could be completely unlike themselves and delight or become hated by masses of people, changing out masks on a whim to be somebody widely hated or loved. Like a beautiful art form, on par with the sculptors and painters of the word. It caused them to begin implementing different personality aspects into their merchant work, letting them gather more business. Along with this, Manon began to write scripts in their freetime. Not anything grandiose or truly important, but a way to practice and engage with the art they adored.
On her travels between towns with her various products, Manon spotted a group of off putting and shrouded individuals. When they investigated, Manon watched as the mages huddled together and enchanted their items. One Ferromancer manifested an ornate cup from the small metal cube in their hands. A terrible disgust overwhelmed Manon. The idea of losing money to somebody who did not have to struggle for their keep, who could simply do as they pleased in the blink of an eye, all of this for them to play with their abilities to trivialize their line of work. It all disgusted her. So, when they moved to Regalia at 18 and bid their mother a bittersweet goodbye, they already had their mind set into a specific rhetoric. Mages and especially those who use their condition to make their day to day a lazy chore were inherently dislikeable. Bothersome at best, dangerous at worst.
This solid idea of magic brought Manon to learn about the Lothar and their fight against the Occult. The very same Occult that Manon had come to hate. She quickly enlisted as a Squire and was sent abroad on multiple ventures to assist diplomats and others within the Order. When they returned with a vague idea of what Chapter they wished to pursue, Regalia's magestorm of 312 hit. The ex-merchant watched the Lothar go on their purges with an incredibly keen eye. While the cause was ever so just in their eyes, the way the Lothar went about it all felt poor. Though it could most certainly be improved. That is exactly what Manon sought to do. They took it up with the Order about the possibility of becoming an advisor for public relations under the Émérites Chapter. If not simply to fight the Occult's influence, then to see truly how well they could change the public's opinion.
