Wouldn't it be as simple as saying "Magic is not entirely understood, there are millions of different spells in the world!" on the wiki? Then maybe give some strict guidelines for how to incorporate magic into an approved character in Regalia? What's wrong with magical characters writing in the unique spells they've created into their characters, since they're going to be reviewed anyway? Or even allow the lore magic to exist alongside the plugin magic, but for some reason the plugin's magic system doesn't work in Regalia (at least not canonically)? There are all sorts of magic ruins buried beneath the city, aren't there? Perhaps there's some arcane interference, like with whatever stopped the bone horrors from reforming in the city.

It sounds like this is already decided, so I won't press anything too hard. I guess I just don't see why this is such a difficult thing to do? Is the lore really set so firmly now?
It is set. Has been for a while now. Baneful King is the main reason. I put over 60 hours into building the dungeon and several more into writing the bosses and his own backstory. I doubt they would ever want another antagonist more powerful than Baver flying around Aloria.

And plus Marty is very detailed and by no means sloppy in any form. Writing magic in like that, in my opinion, would be very sloppy.

Tbh I just thought he just slammed his hands on the keyboard

Don't worry however, I am going to be working very closely with lore staff on this. When I concepted the story for this, I went to great lengths to not stray to far from the lovely story Massive has been working on for the last 5 years. All the races, void, landforms, everything still exists in this parallel world. Just history took a different turn in the final battle that was supposed to kill Baver.
So, the Exist and Void exist to divide these worlds?
