While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, Mediators have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine.” Character's Religion: Unionism 4/10 Spoiler: Weaknesses [*] Lyris can be a little bit...lacking in street smarts. She’s a bookworm that doesn’t normally get involved in others’ actions, and so when she is confronted with a difficult situation, it can be hard to deal with. She prefers not getting involved in events that could require a quick thought while on the street or wandering the city.[*] She can seem a bit clingy in a way, mostly towards her family. She wishes to help others, or at least be encoraging, and so sometimes she could seem annoying for doing so. She calls from the sidelines, hoping the best for others, even if she asks about it too much to try and help.[*] She can weaken to flattery easily, as she isn’t entirely use to flattery or flirting. It can be hard to focus after that, as though not knowing what to do with herself. Poor bean. Spoiler: Personality and Abilities (Expansion) Lyris is your common bookworm, someone that stays off to the side, looking into a book and ignoring the things around her to enjoy the story in front of her. She daydreams all the time when alone and at peace, thinking of fictional stories involving adventures, exciting romances, grand people, etc. But when she is away from her books, she loves being close with her family and enjoying her time with them. She can be a talker, asking about the goings-on and possible events for her family members. She was normally like this with her brother, Theo, but now-a-days focuses more on herself and being settled in the city. Likes Books and general story-telling Her family, mainly her siblings Gossip (though nothing too sad or dark)Sewing Wine and trying new foods Dislikes Peer pressure Sad stories (both real and fictional) Being too far from family for too long | “Oh don’t beat yourself up like that!” | Childhood Lyris is the youngest child of three children of an Etosian couple in Atolia, born a few short years after her brother, Thyolaeus. The young girl had been raised close to her family, including her cousins, whom she grew close to, but upon learning to read and write, she became more recluse, her eyes always looking upon the pages of a book. When she had learned of the vast amount of books that littered the world, she had gotten as many as her parents would allow, reading book after book from historical tales to fantastical fiction. When she wasn’t reading, she was either learning to sew (in order to do something more practical) or wandering around, following her two older siblings and their adventures. She quite admired her brother and his artistic interests, and followed suit, attempting to learn to write her own stories. She did not follow this as a career, but she certainly admires the skills of those more creative than her. Teenage-hood Once reaching her teens, she started to show her extroversion, asking so many questions about...anything really! She studied the works of classics and philosophers now that she could understand them a little better, and grew more interested in romance. Oh romance, the one thing she knew she was bad at. Lyris was quite the opposite to her brother from that, shying away from flirtations and trying to not freeze up at the thought. And now that she was growing more interested in romance, she knew it was hard to avoid it. She learned a little more on sewing, having it be a small job for close family friends and relatives, making shawls and similar pieces with the best fabric she could afford (she preferred paying for her own things if she could). She was also taught to defend herself, something she cooould be a lot better at. The thought of holding a weapon was a little frightening to her, even if she enjoyed reading about the subject. She left the fighting to her other relatives. Adulthood Upon reaching adulthood, she had been very comfortable with the comforting lifestyle of her home. She was so used to reading, sewing, reading some more, talking with family, and repeat, that she did not think anything would change. That was until the head of the house, Thylolaeus, had announced the proposition of moving to Regalia. This was certainly a change, one that sort of scared her. She did not share the same excitement like her brother, instead it was more internal. She did not wish to leave her parents, and the comforts of home, but she also wanted to do the thing she had read about for so long; a change, an adventure into an unknown place. So, after her two siblings had left, and after she felt ready to leave, she did so, moving to Regalia. She almost felt afraid, not knowing what this change would bring. The thrill of reaching the city hit her quite hard, and all sorts of ideas and plans came to her mind. She wished to help with the family’s future prospects, see her brother take his dancing interests up to the stage where he would be amazing, and maybe find her own little place in the city. She is currently attempting to try and settle, having ideas of a bookshop in the future to let people enjoy her favorite hobby. | "Oh- goodbye!" |
