It was nothing more than an abandoned colony located on a lone island in the realm of New Ceardia. Forsaken and hopeless, the colonists bickered amongst each other on how to survive without any outside support. The arguing came close to violence until a cast away drifted unto the shores of the island. Mysterious, and almost supernatural, he spoke nothing of his past. He only went with the name Zero. He ended all disputes among the colonists and implemented a governing system called a covenant. In other words, a great promise. A promise to not only survive as a people, but to soon thrive as a new nation. Outspoken and innovative, Zero gained infinite support amongst the colonists. Zero organized the first order of the High Council, the governing body of this new nation, with him proclaimed by the people as the Kaiser. Through the High Councils leadership, the colony grew to an underground city that came to be known as Covena, as well as to construct the looming Covenant palace above ground. As the years trekked by, many of different races and talents came across the Covenant to soon settle, witnessing it as an opportunity to thrive as a new country. Dwarven engineers, elvish craftsmen, Mages, and all others found their way to the Covenant seeing that no racial prejudice existed in its land. With this revolutionary cultural merging, the Covenant grew to be a mighty industrial power. A threat lurked on the horizon, however. A horde of orcs invaded the island, attempting to purge every one so as they could settle it for themselves. Kaiser Zero stepped forth, and by revelation of his supernatural abilities, easily had the orcs down on their knees. The orcs experiencing such a tremendous defeat, had a new found respect for the Kaiser. In a historic turn of events, the orcs swore undying loyalty to Kaiser Zero. Through this, the Covenant Guard was disbanded, and in its place was born the Covenant Legion consisting of the orcs. Word spread of this event and many more Orc tribes rallied to the banner of the Covenant, growing and strengthening its military might. With the Covenants diversity, industrial and economic growth, along with a formidable military, other small nations took notice. These nations begged to merge with the Covenant and thus sparked another historical landmark. The Covenant was reorganized and renamed the Covenant Supremacy. All nations requesting to give way of their sovereignty to fly the Covenant banner made up the first provinces of the Supremacy. With these provinces came the Arbiters Council, a republic style organization that held governing representatives of each province. Decades went by and the Covenant Supremacy became more politically sophisticated. It's Legion evolved into an organized and highly trained fighting force. The industry, now organized as the Trade Guilds, developed and discovered advanced technology yet not known to most of the world. The Covenant also began a large crusade to recover lost historical texts and artifacts to yet again advance its civilization. To this day the Covenant Supremacy stands as a land of opportunity for those escaping prejudice and oppression from lands beyond. They have also gained the support of many powerful allies to further expand its influence across the realm. Though the Covenant do tend to stay neutral in most coalition based politics, they will offer fortune and aid to those who ask for it, as well as death and demise to any who threaten their peace.
