    Personality and Abilities
    • Character Alignment | Lawful Good
      • Throughout his whole life, Jeremy has been taught that right, wrong, and the rule of his higher-ups is all that truly matters in the world, and he intends to continue down that path he was raised on. As such, the young man strives to help those around him, remain truthful and honorable, as well as defend the word of those he follows behind. Of course… sometimes that Rule or Word he follows can be interpreted as wrong by others.
    • Character Personality | Defender
      • Defined mostly by his fighting spirit, but rather withdrawn personality, the Sherwood is very much within the lines of the Defender personality type. Strengths wise, he is reliable and trustworthy, alongside protective and hard-working for those he loves or trusts. On the flipside, Jeremy also follows the weaknesses of the Defender as a rather shy and introverted man who often takes insults too personally- alongside simply being too repressed when it comes to his feelings.
    • Religion | Sancella Unionist | 7/10
      • Raised within a Colonial household and being sent away to the Carainthais Monastery in Basta as a child, it comes as no surprise that the Sherwood has a very high view on Unionism and is a Unionist himself. Surprisingly though, he isn’t the most fervent of worshippers and that doesn’t come from disliking the beliefs of Unionism, but rather viewing most Unionists as sinners in their own right who only use the word of the Spirit to continue their own debaucherous lives. Essentially, Jeremy isn’t a very open and loud worshipper of his religion as his own attempt of scourning “bad” Unionists, although he still follows the Emperor, Reverends, and those of his own Knightship with a high-held head.

    Life Story
    • Born on October 18th of 281 AC, Jeremiah Reese Sherwood was entered into the world as the last child of his recently widowed mother, Lilian Sherwood. He was born as the youngest child of three, with two slightly older sisters born before him. As for his father, the man of the Sherwood Household had been recently killed within a forest fire that had ravaged the woods nearby their tiny village, taking the lives of many young men, fathers, and sons. As such, the township was also left as newly made Adelaide Town from the recent devestation.
    • Without a father to lead him, Jeremiah- affectionately called ‘Jeremy’ instead by most- started his life surrounded by the lead of women. From a young age, he was introduced to ‘domesticate’ duties that his sisters would have normally done, while his mother assisted the ‘leading’ women of their little village. Although it was no surprise for such a thing to happen since the majority of the town was close as family, especially after the death of so many husbands and sons only a handful of years before.
    • Though there was no official schoolhouse within his village, at the age of five Jeremy began to spend the majority of his day at a neighbor’s home with her similarly aged children, who happily began to teach him how to read and write. Luckily, he did catch onto the skill, although the Colonial boy fell behind the rest of the children that he learned with and throughout his life would continue to struggle a bit, leaning away from such a skill and avoiding passtime reading.
    • At the age of nine, an older man that had survived the fires and continued to try to hold onto a semblance of power within the woman-controlled village, brought up the idea to Lilian that her son should perhaps go elsewhere throughout his childhood to learn a true skill rather than being babied throughout his life by a gaggle of women. Initially, Missus Sherwood took quite harshly to this idea and disliked the thought entirely of sending her youngest away, until a friend of hers mentioned the idea of sending her son to Basta for studies. Several weeks went by of this idea being thrown around in thought, with Jeremiah being given little choice in the matter and believing whatever his mother did would be best for him.
    • As such, just after his tenth birthday, Lilian and her eldest daughter, Edith, travelled to Basta with Jeremiah to enroll him within the School of Seminary with the intent of during the young boy into a Curate. At the arrival though, there was a bit of a mix-up as Lilian knew little of this sort of schooling and instead took her son to a different school within Basta: the Villiers-Eclaire Order. Though she learned quickly that the Knight Order was not the path she had initially came to Basta to put Jeremy within, Lilian was convinced by her daughter that she should allow the boy to stay within the Villiers-Eclaire and as such he began his training not as a student of Reverends, but instead as a knightly Page.
    • For the first five years of his education, Jeremiah studied the three different paths of the Villiers-Eclaire Order alongside his fellow Pages. At the age of fifteen though, he was given the choice to follow specifically one of these three paths: The Sword, The Horse, or The Faith. Stuck between the option of the first two and taking some time to consider, the boy eventually decided to follow the path of The Sword. (Although this choice was made after an incident in which he was at a lesson with horseback riding and ended up falling off his steed being careless. While physically unhurt, the large amount of embarrassment made the decision to avoid The Horse quite easy.)
    • Once he was on his new path, Jeremy was finally made a Squire and began to follow at the heels of a recently graduated Villiers-Eclaire, an Ithanian man named Sacha. For the last years of his education, Jeremy was trained mostly with the use of swords and shields by his mentor, alongside learning d’Ithanie from his mentor, which made their rare travels out of Basta quite interesting due to the mostly Ithanian surroundings.
    • During the entirety of the Sherwood’s training, he made very few trips out of the Carainthais Monastery and even fewer travels back to his home village. That is except for when news arrived that his mother was going to be remarrying and the boy was given leave to return home, both to meet his new father for the first time and be witness to his mother’s wedding. From the very beginning, Jeremiah held a high dislike for the man that would soon become his step-father, not due to the fact that he thought the man was cruel or something of the sort, but rather he had never found himself familiar with the idea of having a father due to never even meeting his own and nearing the age of eighteen by the point of his mother’s remarriage. Regardless, there was little that the young man could do and when he returned Basta he had become the step-son of a stranger.
    • Once he had finished his tenth year of training, now the age of twenty, Jeremiah was graduated from his Villiers-Eclaire schooling and granted his Synodical Villiers Seal by the Knight Order. Though he now had the chance to be free from the school has a whole and begin his life, the dislike of returning home and soon got to Jeremy and he opted to remain on Basta and become a mentor for up-and-rising Squires. Soon enough, Jeremiah had become the mentor of a fifteen year old Anglian boy named Enno.
    • At the beginning of Jeremy’s mentorship, all had gone well and the first few years went by without a hitch. That is until the Sherwood was about the age of twenty-four and his pupil the age of nineteen. Though Jeremiah is still unsure what exactly happened himself, Enno and another squire of the school broke out into a brawl within the dining hall, although before teachers, Jeremiah, or the other boy’s mentor could reach the pair of boys, the fight had already been finished when a fork had been grabbed and jammed into Enno’s eye. With one boy half-blinded by the attack and the other claiming that his victim had began the fight to begin with, both Enno and the other Squire were removed from the Order and sent home… much to the disgrace of both their mentors. This alone brought quite a lot of shame to Jeremiah and he decided to leave his mentor position to return home to his mother.
    • Once returning home, Lilian discovered that while her son had grown in age and skill with a blade, his heart was just as gentle as when he was a child. (This she discovered after he found that Jeremy, now a fully graduated knight, cried for several days within his bedroom over his felt failure with his squire, as well as feeling guilt for now leaving a nineteen year old boy blinded.) Jeremiah stayed within his home for a good while under the wing of his mother once more, although now taking up duties for his mother that she had been fretting away with. Once more, he feel back into a domesticated role despite years of training within Basta. This was until his step-father had deemed his ‘son’ was far too of a feminine man and began to pressure Jeremy to act more like a man.
    • Two years passed in this environment where Jeremy struggled with his own emotions, open with his heart on his sleeve as his mother and sisters had always been, and the pressure that he felt from his new father to act more like a “man”, despite the fact that his step-father was only a farmer and Jeremiah himself was a knight. At the age of twenty-six, the man finally broke and left home to go his own way in the world away from his step-father’s rule. At first, he opted to make his way towards struggling colonial villages near his own that were becoming packed with Ceardian refugees, offering his hands with helping build new buildings and such. Several months passed in this environment until someone suggested the idea that the Sherwood take himself to Regalia in search of a “Higher Purpose” within the Holy City itself. Though he initially had disliked this idea, thinking long on it, eventually Jeremiah decided to go ahead with it and off he went towards the Crowned City of the Regalian Empire.
