He lives within the Viridan keep, Kurtenwald Castle, training other Viridians and aiding in other matters the Primae hands off to him. Jeremias was born in Opper Calem to a wealthy Unionist family. He was treated well and given proper tutoring despite his dislike for it. He has an old brother, a younger brother and two younger sisters. He gets along well with all of them except his younger brother who he consistently gets into physical fights with. After relative recent events, he hardly sees his family anymore, avoiding most of them. Jeremias’ current and only mission is to find a way to aid the Empire, ideally by aiding House Kade. His relationship with his family does linger in the back of his mind but he currently does not care to mend it. Personality and Abilities Perceived: Upon seeing this Viridian Paladin for the first time, the average person would immediately see someone who is wholly dedicated to the Empire and Unionism. Often holding a content and confident expression, he comes off as a friendly and welcoming sight while also seeming to hold himself above most. His general demeanor is that of honor and strength, there to aid where he can. He can also tend to be open about his views, likely to vocalize about his beliefs before the interaction is over. Internal Perception: Jeremias is utterly confident in his abilities though not quite as arrogant as he once was. His only anxieties would be the potential for failure of his family, which he somewhat did, and the Empire though tries to block out any such negativity as he focuses on serving. He seeks to be the top of his class and to serve the Crown as dutifully as possible while keeping to the thrill of the fight. He also now struggles with a few different downfalls which plagued him in recent times. Towards Family & Friends: While Jeremias tends to be a closed book, he will sometimes open up to his family but rarely to those he considers friends or his Viridian brothers. He will admit his failures where necessary but prefers to better himself on his own terms. His relationship with his family, while once close, has since faded overall. After complications, he went on his way for what seemed to be the last time. While he still remains pleasant upon the scarce interactions with his family, he remains closed-off and focused on his duties. Morality: Jeremias’ morality is strict lawful neutral. As a Viridian Paladin, he adheres to the Code of Charlemois without fail and thus performs his duties wherever possible. While he will go out of his way to lend aid to those in need and will attempt to stop those more unlawful individuals, he will not blindly pursue them. He remains smart about his battles, only scarcely ever picking the wrong ones. Go into detail why they hate these things and explain also how it makes them feel. Life Story Birth Jeremias Franz Kaeppler was born on May 26th, 270 AC. He was born into a noble militaristic household in Opper Calem. He had two brothers and two sisters, being the second born of his family. Childhood Jeremias was a rambunctious child, often roughhousing with his brother and running around outdoors. He never took well to his early studies but took an immediate interest in anything military related, eager to learn from his father who was a general. Jeremias took an extreme interest in his father along with various other members of the household who were knights and generals themselves. He was taught about general command from that point forward, however, as the years went on his father needed to make a choice based on his son’s behavior and personality. After deciding Jeremias was potentially too rowdy and wild to be a general, his father sent him off to the Viridian Castle to become a trained knight. Jeremias had no qualms with this as he had wanted to swing a sword for years now and so he went without a fuss. Viridian Training Once arriving at the castle, his rowdy behavior once again took hold. During his training, Jeremias went all out and never backed down from the drills nor the opponents, even if they were above his skill level. When sparring he would often take the fight too far, relentlessly attacking and not letting up despite what the elders would say. He was punished for this behavior and while not calming down completely adjusted his behavior to be within the code. He shifted from a wild fighter to a more arrogant one, no longer abusing his opponents but making sure they knew he was a prime student of the school, even when he lost. His relentless fighting style remained, never willingly giving up in a spar and later on challenging the Paladins within the keep. He graduated after a decade in 290AC and moved on to begin aiding the Empire. Adulthood Once graduating, he returned to Opper Calem to reconnect with his family who he had not seen for so long, except for one or two uncles who were Viridian Paladins that visited the castle over the years. He was welcomed with open arms and he took the time to assist the family where needed. Only a few months later the Ranger Crisis struck and he shipped off to aid in the war, hungry for blood and battle. After this, he remained in touch with the school, aiding in the battles which the Primae deemed necessary for Viridians to join. Between wars and battles, he moved between his home in Opper Calem and Regalia, assisting where he could in both locations. Present In more recent times, he has found himself lost with the chaos around the world and is unsure where he is most needed. After the Emperor stepped down and deemed the seat no longer necessary, Jeremias found himself even less sure of where to go, yet still ever-faithful to the cause of Unionism. Soon after, his family fell from noble status due to lack of political skill and immense amounts of inner family turmoil. This had been a long time coming. This conflict within his family caused him to go from a loyal member of his house to a lone wolf of sorts. He now searches for a position within the Empire, aiming to aid House Kade and the Empire in any way he can.
