    Visual Information Extended

    ◆ Eye Colour:
His eyes are a vibrant shade of light blue, cool and calm like still icebergs in the northern seas. Flakes of darker blue point inwards towards his iris, contrasting the lighter hue entirely. His eyes convey untold stories and positive energy, always bright no matter if surrounded by kin or a bloody battlefield.
    ◆ Hair Style:
As he has aged, his hair has grown longer and thicker. A single rope braid falls down the length of his back, out of the way of his face, decorated with various beads and lace. The sides and back of his head are often shaved neatly per his own desire. His hair and beard included is gradually whitening with his age, former strands of dirty blonde are now a snow-white silver. His beard is rich and thick, hiding his jawline and neck. Often, should he have the time or need to do so, he adds various braids into his beard to control the spread or simply for decoration.
    ◆ Fashion:
Usually he is coated in various layers of fur and leather, hiding the size and the bulk of his body, especially in the colder months. His only fashion sense is practicality. Ranging from thick leather boots and gloves to a heavy wolf-pelt cloak. However, some items of clothing have some decorated weave work or symbols which are primarily used during important ceremonies or gatherings.
    ◆ Facial Structure:
Jarlaf’s face is strong and powerfully built. A square jaw and straight nose, his lineage and culture is of no surprise. A heavy brow sits atop his bright blue eyes, with high and defined cheekbones that add edge to his masculine features. He has several minor scars across his cheeks, nose and brow- stories of prior conflicts forgotten. His beard is heavy, large and warm- hiding away the majority of his lower face.

    Racial Abilities:

    ◆ Hardy Constitution.
    ◆ Versatile Instinct.
    ◆ Hidden Stature.

    Alignment: Lawful Neutral/True Neutral -
Guided by both his traditions and valued morals, Jarlaf adheres to the law of state and seeks to uphold the teachings of his people, community and family with devotion. Relying upon his seniors and elders to guide his ambitions. A man of little exploration when it comes to testing the boundaries of his traditions, Jarlaf prefers to follow the teachings of his family and ancestors without deviancy. Seeing anyone who would as cowardly and unorthodox. However, should the spoken or written law collide with his belief in what is good- he will argue stubbornly and defensively until changes are made or he is disciplined- usually holding a grudge on the event for long periods of time.

    Personality: ISFJ-A, The Defender. -
Jarlaf is territorial and defensive over his loved ones and community, fighting fiercely with blade or not to upkeep their safety. Using his strength and skills to better his family and settlement to the best of his ability. He is charitable and generous, offering aid to those around him with no desire for repayment for kinder deeds. Family-orientated, Jarlaf strives to defend his culture, traditions and kin.

Religion: Faith in the Old Gods and the Oldt Fayth. 9/10.
Utterly devoted, Jarlaf makes no large move without first consulting a familiar Staargir- believing in their fortunes and tellings no matter the situation. Every aspect of his life is guided by his faith, neither feeling restricted nor controlled by it. To him, his faith is law. Frequently partaking in various rituals are a thin testement to his faith, hiding a much stronger connection.

Early Childhood, Zero to Thirteen. The Thaw.

Jarlaf was born in a small, minor settlement called Hjallkavensvodjr on the eastern coast of Tryllejag in the year 274 AC to his father, Bryfjarld and mother Fruhilda. Surrounded by their additional spouses; Kristilda and Ulfrid. Jarlaf had an older sister called Avulhilda and their shared older brother Trenvir. Both of his siblings did not survive to adulthood. Enduring a harsh and unforgiving childhood, Jarlaf was raised quick to assist his father and older brother with the more laborious tasks- his father a local blacksmith. But otherwise had no other responsibilities to occupy himself.

As he grew, Jarlaf was fond of more active tasks and entertainment. Living in relative poverty had little impact on the young Velheim, for he was surrounded by family and children of his own age. He was never bored, adoring to run in the snow, climb the dense pine and fir trees that surrounded Hjallkavensvodjr and swim in the icy sea in the warmer months. Jarlaf knew relative peace until his older brother, Trenvir, was lost at sea whilst fishing with Ulfrid, both did not make it home after the weather grew suddenly worse. His sister, Avulhilda, passed away in her sleep the following winter. Leaving Jarlaf as the only born son of his mother and father.

Jarlaf was the first and only child to reach adulthood, by thirteen, he had grown a more independent but passionate boy with the loss of both his siblings. Turning the sorrow in to cause to look after his family first and foremost. He chose the single and simple word “Forged” as his adulthood name- in honour of the family once forged together so tightly and the career he then followed.

Adolescence Years, Fourteen to Twenty. The Spring.

Devoted to the upkeep of his family and home, Jarlaf was an exceptional boy. Working hard to learn the trade of blacksmithing but also navigating himself to various other trades through his friendship with the other families. Jarlaf grew a keen hunter, often spending several nights in the local woodland hunting for his family and friends alike- wanting nothing in return. He grew passionate in pursuit of practical skills, such endeavours to hopefully provide for a family he may have in the future. Whether to keep them warm or simply safe.

As Jarlaf matured into a grown man, another aspect of life presented itself- raiding. Jarlaf first joined on a raid around seventeen into the neighbouring province of Falsemar. It lasted several weeks after the ice had retreated from his coastal home, a fleet of three longships filled with men and women of his kin sacked, pillaged and looted various minor settlements. Jarlaf, under the protection of the older warriors of his kin, thrived in the conflict and believed it justified entirely to aid in the survival of his community. He returned home a new man, scarred with stories of prior conflicts but thrilled with the aspect of war nonetheless.

Early Adulthood, Twenty-one to Thirty-One. The Blizzard.

Jarlaf’s life was split evenly, providing for his settlement as a hunter and blacksmith as well as a frequent and devoted raider alongside his kin. Never missing an opportunity. His desire to provide and safeguard his home caused him trouble with finding a potential partner. Thus any romantic interest he had barely endured in his time away- not that he truly minded. Eventually his father grew weary in his veteran age and Jarlaf accepted the slack without hesitation. Ensuring his father rested more than worked. Upholding the responsibilities and care of his family and kin dutifully and without complaint.

In the year 299 AC, Hjallkavensvodjr was raided in retaliation for the first time in Jarlaf’s life. An organised assault that could barely be defended. The neighbouring raiders in large numbers slaughtered and pillaged Jarlaf’s home swiftly, leaving barely any survivors. Jarlaf’s father, Bryfjarld, was killed in a desperate attempt to safeguard his home. Unfortunately for him, Jarlaf’s mother and her Khaere, Kristilda, were taken back when the raiders retreated back on to the sea. Jarlaf survived but was severely wounded alongside most of the men who attempted to defend Hjallkavensvodjr.

Jarlaf and the remaining survivors fled south, partly in what little ships they had remaining and by land in the latter half of their journey. Gradually the survivors split off as they travelled from settlement to settlement, eventually leaving Jarlaf alone in Falsemar, the very province he had raided several times in the past decade. Settling in with ease due to his talent as a blacksmith, Jarlaf wandered without much issue despite the remnants of his prior life. Working to better himself and the people he mingled and lived with.

The year 304 AC brought about the horrible event known as the Bone Horror Crisis. Jarlaf was thirty years old at this point, a grizzled and hardened warrior in his prime. Despite this, the horrors in which Jarlaf witnessed still haunt his dreams. Burial Grounds sprouted asunder with the Undead that rose from the frozen grounds. And no matter how many Jarlaf attempted to settle- nothing worked. Once again he fled, seeking sanctuary in a higher civilisation- Regalia.

Older Adulthood, Thirty-One to Thirty-Five. The Freeze.

Jarlaf spent less than a year in the Regalian Archipelago before Drixagh burst into rebellion. Jarlaf sided with his northern kin swiftly and effortlessly but barely contributed to the conflict. The Rebellion was crushed before Jarlaf saw major conflicts- preferring to defend the assaulted settlements than act as an aggressor. Come the conclusion that same year, only a few months later, Jarlaf opted to travel even further south to Regalia and the Crown Isle in search of settlement once again.

    • With House Viduggla and other members of an organised group. Jarlaf embarked on an expedition to Mirnoye on the 24th of November, the only day the surrounding storm of the island opens enough to allow a ship entry. Though the expedition went poor, resulting in their ship being blown in half, everyone survived with an epic story to tell.

    1. You have claimed the Bolven racial bonus twice. This is not how racial bonuses work. See here; ' The way Racial Boosts work is, each Race has 3 Proficiencies listed as Racial Boost Options. You can choose one of these Boosts for your character (unless you are playing a Half-Race, in which case you get two). When you invest at least 5 Points (Age, Talent, or Hobby) into a Boosted Proficiency, you get an extra 5 more, automatically, for free.'

    2. Instead of listing your points as 'free' please identify whether they are being granted through the hobby, talent, or bonus 5 points.

    3. You should only have 4o points from age, but you have used 43. Please amend this.

    @Arhbi

    1) Sorry! I must have missed the part where I could only have one Racial Bonus. Amended, those 5 Bonus Points from Hunting have been removed, leaving only 5 Bonus Points in Strength.

    2) Done. Amended, written Talent or Hobby in their designated categories.

    3) Happens when writing and re-writing the proficiency lists I suppose! Amended, Pathfinding has been reduced from 6 Points to 3, totaling the points from 43 to 40.

@Arhbi Hello! Mass overhaul because he isn't a Sanguine anymore, so back to template save the redistribution of Prof points to adhere to the new Metallurgy update and some other spice-ups with profs that were invalid.
