His parents did little to prepare him to take over their trade, letting him grow up as a normal Qadir child. He loved to run and play in the sand and watch his parents tinker with different forms of technology, despite having no affinity for technology himself. What Jakura did have an affinity for, however, was performance art, specifically dance and theatre. Once Jakura turned 18, he went to travel with a performance group across the desert, stopping at many trading points and other intellectual centers that made up their society. He did this for many years, picking up basic social graces of his people and their culture as he traveled. He did this for many years, becoming one of the more well-known dancers among his people. When he turned 27, things took a drastic change. He went to perform in front of many wealthy traders and businessmen from different nations. A singular individual took a keen interest in Jakura's ability to hold a room, deciding to use that skill as his own. When Jakura was walking home alone that night, he was taken by the man and turned into an Alais Vampire. For many years that followed, Jakura was trained and taught by this stranger, never getting the man's name before he left Jakura alone mysteriously one night.
