    ▫ Jahanka’s face is scarred from years of travel, military service, and labour both from a diversity of temporary jobs, and, more recently, horticultural work in his tea business. His facial features are symmetrical, and sharp, fitting together well in terms of the overall size of his head. A mane of snow-white dreadlocks stands imposing, passing between his horns and hanging down to his shoulders.

    ▫ Jahanka’s body is extremely muscular with low body fat, creating a terrifyingly mesomorphic look. As he has spent years upon years developing his physique, he is comparatively strong when placed up against other members of his race, being nearly at the peak possible physical state for a Songaskian. Numerous scars from a wide variety of lacerations, gashes, and other accidents paint his flesh.

    ▫ Jahanka prefers to wear bespoke, naturally loose looking, robes, wraps, shawls, and scarves combined to create a uniquely patched-together look of a variety of colours, patterns, and materials. To put it to a trend, Jahanka's style emulates real-world Byzantine fashion. He enjoys being a figure to whom attention is given, and being a walking colour pallet helps with this. Furthermore, he believes this artistic expression pays homage to his faith and origins.

    ▫ Jahanka’s tone of voice is a low baritone/high bass with a mild rasp. He speaks at a standard pace, and tends to speed-up when recanting knowledge or giving a lecture. When angry, his tone tends to drop in a subconscious attempt at being more threatening. His accent is distinctly Burdigalic.

    ▫ When lost in thought, tired, or suffering from a headache, Jahanka will cover the middle of his face with a hand, resting his chin in his palm. Occasionally, he will also close his eyes, or rub at a temple with his free hand. When in this pose, Jahanka tends to sit very casually, leaning or reclined.
    ▫ Even when genuinely amused, Jahanka has the physical ability to shirk the natural reaction of his countenance, returning it to relative sobriety. For example, when laughing in response to a joke, Jahanka is physically able to realign his jovial composure to resting seriousness in a matter of moments, at will, although he does so only rarely.

    Night Terrors
    ▫ Jahanka suffers from consistent night terrors. These nightmares manifest as extremely terrifying, alien or otherworldly, occasionally chthonic, replaying of his time on the battlefield. If not pulled from memories, his night terrors manifest as random, chaotic depictions of evil, confusion, and death. When one is experienced, he will usually wake up in a cold sweat, screaming, and get a terrible night’s sleep, deprived of hours of rest.
    Hot-Headedness
    ▫ Jahanka suffers from the genetic ire of a Songaskian in response to perceived slights, insults, and threats. He is very quick to anger, and will express this nigh-rage through explosive verbal assaults, and in the case of perceived dangers, physical assaults of the self-defensive variety. Generally, if the situation can be resolved, he will let these things go, however, if the issue lingers he will hold a very serious grudge (equivalent in seriousness to Dwarven grudges).
    Vanity
    ▫ Jahanka suffers from a sense of narcissistic vanity that centers around both himself, and his House/family. As he is very proud of his heritage and kin, he has a habit of being sure to express this through lavish displays of clothing, jewelry, decor, expensive foods/wines, and use of Elder Form. Within these categories he is rather picky, and will not settle happily for second-best. When something isn’t up to par, he sometimes feels personally slighted, unable to empathise with whomever provided the subpar service.
    Partially Blind
    ▫ Jahanka is partially blind in his left eye. A physical injury caused by the tip of a spear grazing the surface of the eye left permanent damage that obstructs the center of his field of view with severe blur and spots of total darkness. The impact this has on his ability to engage in combat imparts upon him a survivalist sense of physical conflict avoidance. In spite of this burden, Jahanka makes a point to upkeep his physique and honed martial skills so as to remain prepared in the event he does need to defend himself or another, albeit at a fault.

    Childhood {0-9}
    ▫ Jahanka was born to Drissa (Father) and Salia (Mother) in the Coutogne Free Cities region of Callas, Westmark in the Regalian Archipelago. Their family claims a direct, pure lineage to the dragon Uttrakhar (Utt). He was the firstborn of six total children, with two brothers and three sisters. The majority of Jahanka’s education occurred in-house under the tutelage of his Mother with the assistance of a local Celate employed by the family to teach the children history and geography. Jahanka’s parents taught and enforced unwavering adherence to their Songaskian heritage, instilling within him a sense of cultural chauvinism.
    Adolescence {10-15}
    ▫ The years preceding Jahanka’s military service were marked by increased athleticism and erudition. Once his Mother exhausted her capacity to impart knowledge, he went out on his own to acquire knowledge through books and stories retold by local elders. Shortly before his sixteenth birthday, Jahanka was cast out of the home and informed he was to prove himself worthy of independence and responsibility.
    Military Service {16-24}
    ▫ Fostered by his physical strenuosity and curiosity about his homeland, Jahanka used what little money he was left with to charter cheap travel to Masaya. After months of movement, interrupted systematically by spells spent working cheap labour to earn money to continue peregrinating, Jahanka arrived in his ancestral homeland. There, in a small city near the coast, he liaised briefly with distant cousins, who he’d hitherto known only through the recanting of his Father, to acquire work in the military.
    ▫ The subsequent years were spent in proud service to the nation of Masaya as a footman. During his time in the military, Jahanka developed a skill in hand-to-hand and spears, and saw combat in the suppression of noteworthy criminals, and through participation in raids. Due to legal peculiarity in Masaya, Jahanka became learned on the subject of the Cahal and Sanguine, understanding how to protect himself from their curses so as to best suppress malfeasers. Jahanka retired honourably from his service at the age of twenty four after suffering an injury at the business end of a spear after a botched raid rendered him partially blind in his left eye.
    Education {25-36}
    ▫ Utilising his accumulated wealth from years of military service, Jahanka was determined to make something of himself, beyond personal glory achieved on the battlefield, prior to returning to his family. His remaining years in Masaya were spent at Kollokana Academy Songay studying stewardship and rulership. After graduation, he sought to further his tuition through the completion of adjacent curriculums, and, taking advantage of his fluency in Ithanian, took to the fineclass country to study intrigue and information gathering.
    ▫ Upon his return to Callas, Jahanka was welcomed back home with open arms. His family expressed pride and admiration in his successes, and actively encouraged him to continue. Bolstered by familial buttress, Jahanka spent the next six years in Dragenthal and Anglia studying Finance and Diplomacy, respectively. Adjoining his time at the Regalian Academy, Jahanka, with the pecuniary support of his parents and younger brother, Tahirou (
    tai-row), purchased a tract of fertile land he used to found a tea plantation, and hired a personal horticultural tutor.

    Diplomacy School Backround Rights: Jahanka has visited the capitals of all of the major provinces on the Regalian Archipelago, along with the capitals of Ithania, Masaya, and Allorn.
    Finance School Backround Rights: Ahura Fine Tea - A moderately successful plantation and trade business specialising in the development and sale of pure black teas. Ahura Fine Tea exports primarily within the province of Dragenthal and south into the province of Pays-Sud.
    Adulthood {37-Today}
    ▫ The years following Jahanka’s graduation from Narlas and the Regalian Academy were spent managing his business, during which time he worked to breed stronger, hardier, and tastier strains of black tea. These years resulted in Jahanka growing very close with his brother, Tahirou, who helped actively in the day-to-day logistics and clerical responsibilities of their enterprise. He credits much of his success to Tahirou.
    ▫ Around Jahanka’s thirty eighth birthday, his father fell gravely ill and died of pneumonia within a month. This loss crippled the family with grief, and to this day the severity of their collective sadness lingers about his memory. To honour the life of their father, Jahanka and Tahirou constructed a monument to him in their tea fields
    , and Jahanka departed the archipelago to visit family in Mayasa.
    ▫ Jahanka’s trip to Mayasa immediately followed the de jure conclusion of the Second Songaskian War. His arrival at the estate of his cousins was short-lived, as he, and they, immediately took refuge as a civil war erupted concerning leadership of the Kingdom. Amidst the tumult of the war, Jahanka was unable to safely depart, and lived in Mayasa with his distant relatives for the duration of the discord. When the civil war finally came to a conclusion, Jahanka journeyed to the capital to witness Musamansa Massya Song’s re-coronation prior to returning home.
    ▫ When Jahanka turned forty, he made the decision to pass relative custody over Ahura Fine Tea to his brother in the interest of pursuing new financial opportunities for their business in the capital. Although Jahanka remains the official owner, he has “stepped back” from a position of control as he sojourns on the crown-isle.

    @Caelamus Changes are coloured BLUE. Tldr: Added an Inventory item. Rearranged a few points... adding Dagger Combat, adding Medical Special Training, adding a School, adding Affliction Knowledge (Arcanology, from his time at the Natural Sciences School), and removed a Language. The Kaffee Addiction Weakness was removed and replaced with a Partial Blindness Weakness effecting his left eye. A paragraph in the backstory was tweaked to account for the extra school, and a paragraph was added to the backstory detailing a trip to his homeland during the civil war that followed the end of the Second Songaskian War.

    @Caelamus Changes are coloured BLUE. Tldr: Points moved around pursuant to Linguistics changes. Removed Medical Special Training and Natural Sciences school. Lowered Dagger Combat from 4 to 3. Added Lëtz, and assigned points to Burdi (as it is no longer free), completing that language group granting Altalar for free. Added a "Voice Claim" under Voice in the Visual Expansion. Added Intrigue School, modifying the backstory appropriately. Arcanology justification was moved from the (now removed) Natural Sciences school to his time in the military (due to the unusual legality of Vampires and complete illegality of Cahal in Masaya--the justification sits in the realm of the [assumed] use of the military to suppress illegal Covens and Cahal activity).
