So i got unbanned yesterday and i was banned from this server for 6 months.Massivecraft was life and it was my favorite server, my favorite aspect was the races plugin and once i was banned i went to page 32 of google looking for another server like it.There was none at all, not a single one with all the plugins and if they did it was only vampires.I am so happy to be unbanned and if anyone sees airbender55 on tell him im unbanned please and to add me back to his faction callinveyah.I would really enjoy if some peope could just explain to me all the new things and whats happened in the past 6 months.IGN:IvanDanawi t
Thanks.

Excuse you they are GREAT for roleplaying!
It provides minor aesthetics for role-play purposes, however it has completely wrecked the whole PVP system. And even for role-play purposes I dislike it, because vampire hunting is impossible because vampires never burn in the sun or anything (I know there are traits for this but I've never seen anyone do it). This is true for other races like maiar, who no longer have to worry about being realistic.

Good point all, about the pvp.
I do like the added customization, but do wish the vamp plugin was still hare, as well as the Miiar and Dakker (I never see many anymore)

Truth be told, I used the old race system for roleplay more than I use the current trait system. The Maiar's struggle to stay alive above water made it that much more realistic and fun. Sure, I can relive that by giving myself some negative traits, but that would just be unnecessary. Maiars used to require strategy and creativity to keep themselves alive. Now all you have to do is give yourself the right traits and it does that all for you.

I miss the days where creative, outside of the box problem solving to ingame mechanics were a thing. I rarely see any of that anymore, and it almost feels like a piece of Massivecraft's magical experience has disappeared along with it.

While I loved having to be in water 24/7 as a maiar, I think I'd rather not have to overcomplicate things to the point where I'm running back and forth between a pool and rp while going insane.

That's part of the creative problem solving.
And I've roleplayed as a Maiar with the old race system plenty of times before. It's not usually as chaotic as you just mentioned.
