I could very well just delete all of this text, but I'm not going to just delete
things I've done that I wish I hadn't done.

Another Edit: I know I'm only banned for 3 days but I'm quitting.

Before I start my rant, I'd like to make a quick summary of today's events.

Stage 1; I made a joke in general chat; "ban gethelp aboose" after he realized he was vanished in siege. I was then insulted by Thortuna and said "Go ahead and insult your players." and was met with a 1 week mute.

Stage 2; I used /f desc to talk to my faction members to tell them I was muted. I was then banned for 3 days for bypassing mute. Which I admit I did.

Now, let's talk about the staff for a minute. You guys make useless rules (I understand some are neccesary) and then go to the farthest extant to enforce them; such as muting me for making what was an obvious joke. I'm not even mad about the mute and ban, but I'm mad at you for thinking you needed to do it.

A lot of players around here thinks there needs to be a change, but everyone is afraid to talk about it because you guys are so liberal with giving away punishments. You literally cannot hold a constructive conversation with a staff member without them muting you. Trust me, I have tried it and I have friends who have tried it.

So listen to your players. When they tell you they think something is unfair, and something should be changed... talk to them about it. Please.

EDIT: I leave all of my items, and all of my regals to BansheeLord. Please help him obtain them.

The disagree button would come in handy now, but that's a relic of the past I suppose. Anyhow, I find the staff to be very constructive, no BS kind of people. I think that they have a good view of what is necessary in most situations, and that they probably are doing what the believe to be what is best. Sure, they can be a bit strict from time-to-time, but I don't think that's worth inciting any change over.

Indeed they do have a good sense of when things have gone too far, but imo not a good sense of when it hasn't.

I suppose you're right, although I don't actually see too many examples of this.
