    Imrae initially comes off as a poised woman. A placid, mildly inquisitive exterior is presented to those whom she does not know. She weighs her words carefully, and is reserved and thoughtful to most of the world. When interacting with clients, she is cautious, alert, and concerned for their safety, as returning corpses instead of giddy, rich adventurers is bad for business. She has a reputation in the expeditionary world as meticulous in her work. Strangers may find her standoffish and quiet, yet she possesses an air of serenity and goodwill.



    Imrae has a hard-won confidence that springs from her history of resilience and determination. She thinks of herself as pragmatic, adaptable, and capable – as developed throughout her time working as a professional guide. She also has a bit of whimsy inside of her. Long treks on horse or on foot have let her develop a rich inner life, full of daydreams and plans. Because of how frequently she moved from one spot to the next, and how often she went on such exploratory missions, She has a sharp sense of humor, and often turns conversations over in her mind before she responds with a brief, incisive, and usually dry remark. She relishes being on the move, enjoying riding out under night skies, pitching tents in natural wilderness, and trekking where few maps have led. Her interactions over the years have brought her into contact with a variety of people. She has little use for those who cannot fend for themselves, and begrudgingly protects those who get themselves into their own messes. Because she was stolen from her family at such a young age, she has a soft spot for the helpless and weak. She will often spend her last few regals on candy for a child - especially if that child looks uncared for or abandoned.



    To those who have won her trust, Imrae is much more relaxed. Sharing an easy joke around a campfire, poking fun at each other, and a jovial spirit of camaraderie is what has kept Imrae in the business she was first sold into for the better part of a century. She has few close friends, but those she has let into her table or her home see a tentative, playful woman who takes pleasure in the small gestures of kindness and happiness in life. As opposed to strangers, Imrae can be seen to visibly relax and let her guard down. If someone has won her trust, they are left with an elf who enjoys practical jokes, teasing, and is affectionate.



    Imrae has a neutral good morality. She generally does the right thing for the simple reason that it is right. However, whatever inner battle she might face between her feelings and her pragmatism is largely dictated by the situation at hand. Decades of being someone’s inferior servant has embedded a hesitancy to act outright. She is much more likely to circumvent the obvious route, opting instead to take action through roundabout means.

    Cartography - Imrae’s studies and field experience, paired with a natural interest has made her a skilled mapmaker over the years. Exploratory missions that seek to push the boundaries of the known world, or simply wish for a more detailed map of an area they are interested in purchasing, will request Imrae’s presence on the journey. Fascinated with maps while in school, she focused on this aspect once she left and began her field work. Especially in regards to charting unknown territory. Her experience has most often been used for prospective buyers who wish to know exactly which land they're buying. Second to that are those who hire her to plot out previously unknown pieces of land in greater detail.



    Haggling - Being a part of a travelling adventurer’s company means occasionally finding yourself in a strange place, with no gold, and possibly no knowledge of the local dialect has made Imrae very adept at negotiation, bartering, and haggling down prices when necessary. Her negotiation skills in the marketplace from from her easy-going nature, and usual refusal to start an argument. If she cannot come to a reasonable price, in her mind, that day, she'll walk away from the deal. And hope that the buyer remembers her the next day as she 'casually' passes, in hopes of perhaps completing a sale.



    Fishing - A talent born from necessity. Fresh food was always welcomed on her journeys, and she’s adapted to both spear, net, and line fishing rather well. She’s often fed a group of explorers whose packs have overturned with her line and hook. She enjoys fishing trips immensely, especially when surrounded by a great many people, or cooped up in a city. Fishing represents freedom, and the ability to care for herself, in her belief.

    182AC - Imrae Eberlin was born to Sa'yallas and Llen'nel Tao'salloja in Ellador



    190AC - As a young girl, she often aided her mother in the tailoring business, helping drape fabrics and assist in measuring clients. Imrae had an adventurous streak from birth, and would often beg her parents to let her tag along on her brother’s exercises with the Isldarran military.



    191AC - Imrae was captured when out with her brother beyond the hold walls. She was sold to a Hedryll businessman by the name of Thanf Ribensen. Ribensen’s family operated a ferry company that would bring passengers between the skags in the north.



    205AC - Imrae worked for the family - the young elf beginning as a luggage porter, and eventually screening passengers for travel. The stories of old seemed to be her only refuge; for at her age, she could not find her family, nor grown enough to travel on her own until many years later.



    205-225AC - Ribensen saw the talent for memorization that Imrae had, and began teaching her more formal, long poetry and tales. Eventually, her thirst for knowledge outgrew even his own grand reservoir of stories, and he hired a tutor for Imrae, who taught her tales of the Northern Culture, the Skodge language. She began utilizing her newfound learning to speak to passengers-turned-clients, adding to the reputation for the entire family.



    225AC - Imrae was sent to school on suggestion of her tutor, who saw her talent for both memorization, and a talent for reading maps, and inferring both events and history from them. Ribensen agreed, investing money in her tuition. Tuition that she would have to work off after her formal schooling.



    230AC - Graduates school Returns to Hedryll to pay off her tuition debt, and begins leading more dangerous excursions north, along the Skags. Soon multiple tours were running at the same time. Imrae would accompany historians and explorers out on unknown or little explored pathways in the north. She learns of her brother’s fate, and she begins a writing campaign with him. Often responding between trips.



    240AC - Her debt paid, Imrae leaves Hedryll, deciding to travel to Mirnoye in an attempt to see the maelstrom, and to hazard a pass through the annual calming of the storm. She travelled with a crew of twelve aboard the Ninepin Whippet, setting out via a small ship to skirt the coast, attempting to chart the storm, and the lands beyond. The voyage failed, but the experience only spurred her on to try and explore more far flung places. She travels to Dorkarth in an attempt to learn more about the north belt.



    245-253AC - Signs on to a crew of the exploratory vessel Orocine Wind, sailing from Hvitskag to Hal Pormonth. After a year in the Hadar region to assemble a fully expedition, the company sets sail for the Fendarfelle colonies. They spend over ten years charting and mapping the wild terrain.



    253-278AC - Imrae sets up with the Rogenent’s Wilderness Excursions out of Bressuivre. There, Imrae worked for the company as the official guide and cartographer.



    278 -304AC - Imrae again ventures into Fendarfelle, spending another sixteen years at various outposts, exploring the uncharted forests.


    304-306AC - Imrae gets word of her brother’s success in Regalia. She begins making her way towards the city, stopping in Ithania, Daenshore, and again a visit to the Ribensen family in Hedryll.
