    Personality and Abilities
    • Stranger Perception | The Scholar Apparent: Imara is a curious thing, both metaphorically and literally, often desiring to know more about the world to fill the gaps in her memory. Any stranger would see that the alchemist is tense in the way she acts most of the time, but remains prone to occasional fun when something strikes her as oddly hilarious. Naturally, she’s also rather against delving into anything personal, making her seem both sly and stubborn depending on the conversation. She’s simply an introverted lady focused on adventure, but not adventuring in the more emotional parts of life. Perhaps it is in fear of the hidden anxieties and memories of her past.
    • Inner Perception | Behind Glass Lenses: In truth, she’s rather cold on the inside. Whether or not this is because of what had happened is up for debate, albeit, she remains self-conscious of the way she treats other people she takes a liking to despite trying to stay away from personal matters. This generally leads to a lack of self-confidence building from the comments concerning her usual tenseness. She does take a lot of pride in her work, however, one of the few things she won’t let people walk all over her for. After all, alchemy is one thing she still knows best.
    • Familial Perception | A Veil of Unknowing: Because of her background, familial relations are extremely awkward and would lead to her being very paranoid. It’s often times that she thinks about and desires to know more about who is supposed to be related to her, but alas, she knows that such a meeting will not go well. At the very least, friendships seem to fare better. Imara treats her friends with honesty and advice when possible, but it usually takes a while for her to get settled in to any personal relationship like that. When she does, she becomes more casual and oddly, more serious, especially when it comes to defending the honor or pride of those close to her.
    • Moral Perception | Of Devious Things: Imara’s morals are fairly questionable in the way that she has little ethics when it comes to experimentation. One could say this is the twisted corner of her mind, even a hypocritical one. Her ability to try out alchemical goods and forms of clockwork engineering on others is almost scary, and even accepting the Qadir’s affinity towards reaping dead souls to fuel machienery tends to unsettle outsiders. This isn’t to say that she doesn’t try to follow most laws when possible, or at the very least, stays to a personal code. Imara is just willing to do what others won’t for knowledge.

    Life Story

    Childhood
    • Imara Kaveh al-Qahtani is born on March 15th, 278AC to Haroun and Aishah al-Qahtani in the minor state of Saruhanna.
    • She is raised in a relatively normal life, comfortable with the income that her family got as traders on the Jugou Sea and beyond.
    • Because of her family’s business, Imara was usually left in the care of her aunt, Ilohei Tras-Mahdan, who taught her in the ways of clockwork and music to entertain Ilohei’s guests, as well as to keep Imara busy.
    • Her childhood is relatively uneventful, as much as she was a very active child who scurried around a lot, much to the dismay of her aunt.
    Adolescence
    • As soon as she was old enough, Imara joined her main family in their trading business and the Marral culture, though occasionally had some run-ins with the Songaskian Guard while befriending slaves in the cities that she visited. Her skilled fingers and mischievous nature had her breaking many locks.
    • She starts to grow interested in alchemy upon seeing the Qadiriq displays of potion-making wonder, generally having to be dragged away before she bombarded the alchemists with questions about the strange vials of swirling liquids and smoke.
    • At the age of 17, Imara manages to convince her family to allow her to attend Die Akademie von Kaiseman in Calemberg, even going so far as to imperialize so she would be more easily accepted into the academy. She travels there by boat from Hammaneh in 293 AC.
    • Now going by ‘Irene von Draeve’, she begins her learning in the academy but struggles with the culture at first, for Calemberg was very different from Farah’deen in everything from clothing to weather. Imperialization would take a good year or so to finally settle in.
    Adulthood
    • Irene becomes a skilled student, her naturally enhanced eyesight and hand-eye coordination allowing her to make as well as identify alchemical goods faster than most in her class. This, paired with the fact that she was some random Qadir woman who got favor for imperializing, earned her the disdain of many of her peers.
    • She eventually falls in love with Wilhelm von Schmidt before graduating, one of her less irritable laboratory partners and a kind soul with an equally introverted personality, but that would be the last straw for her peers’ tempers. In the winter of 298 AC, a few weeks after Irene’s graduation and the midst of the growing tensions that would lead to the Hadravian War, she is hunted down in the woodlands, beaten, and poisoned with Jīnyú dú. Though she had the antivenom on her and took it, she still ended up having a stroke, barely getting back to a town road before collapsing.
    • Irene survives the stroke after getting medical attention but due to it, she suffers from an onset of dissociative amnesia that left long gaps in her memory, including what had happened to her. Not all memories were lost and most of her identity was regained from looking over her research papers, but she remained unable to recall most of her past in Farah’deen or what happened in the early years of the academy.
    • In the following year after the incident, Irene works to get her memories back while her skills remained in tact, as much as it took a long time to start skillfully working with alchemy again and she made the rookie move of accidentally getting liquid Pureza on her face, causing an allergic reaction to it that left a patch of discolored skin under her eye.
    • She travels back to Hammaneh at the age of 23, still on the quest for new knowledge and old, as well as changing her name back to Imara in hopes to embrace a culture she was once a part of.
    • With the rumors of Dragons, Arken, and all sorts of magical mishaps following the Bone Horror Crisis, Imara would travel to Regalia to start a new life for herself once again.

@EpsilonPanda As a note before I give you a re-review, I think you should consider adding points into surgery with how you've portrayed her as being a sort of healer type character in times of crisis.

Given that Medicine relates to the actual usage of alchemical products in medicinal ways, I’d rather keep them how they are. Her healing/medic rp in every situation has only been in line with using alchemical products and first aid knowledge to fix wounds rather than how to stitch or cauterize or know the anatomy of a Slizzar, which is more what the surgery proficiency pertains to.

Sorry! For future reference make sure you directly tag me or just tag me in the bump! I've got quite a lot in my feed there and that's usually the best way to go about things, but Re-Approved!

@Caelamus Proficiencies updated to the new system, along with some backstory numbers shifted around due to the reduction of school years.

@Caelamus Switched around the points a little by getting rid of Perception Training and putting the extra 5 into Rogue Training. Not sure if it’s a big enough change to warrant a re-review.

You can change up to 10 max before it requires a re-review, feel free to tag me though to fix the approved tag if it gets removed though.
