If Massive Were To Become Modern

Magic may have become extinct or atleast be extremely rare, there would be a proper army and there would be alot of ruins.
 
I would think a more modern Massive would be in the industrial revolution mixed in with some steampunk technology. Magic would be legalized aside from void magic and modern medicine would get rid of a vampires bloodlust and need for blood.

I can't say the idea sounds bad, however I can say it might be a bit difficult what with races and such. Racism for "modern" Regalia would be worse, and staff would have a hell of a time making a large city to even achieve that. Though... I can admit it would be fun to see who became the trump in modern Regalia... and with a bit of editing to realism and fantasy, perhaps another map entirely so old Regalia doesn't need to be destroyed for something possibly not even worth it... I guess it wouldn't be /so/ bad... I have mixed feelings about this.
 
I like to think that Regalia would have spread to the very edges of the island and become a sort of London, NYC hybrid with airships and large modern cargo ships leaving every day. The park has grown to become much bigger spreading all the way to the Old Temple and sitting on the edge of the Royal Regalian Hospital. Grey gate is now a Tower of London style vault and Muesum and the current Vigilant Sheild HQ is the St Coen Police HQ. The Palace is Highly guarded and home to the King and his family, the symbol of world peace and cooperation, the Emperor and his militaristic ways only live in history books and plays. Racism is a thing of the past only living on in far off colonies and in snooty Ailors, but they are out numbered. Nobles live it up along with celebrities in only the most fashionable of parties and appearances. A Senate has been formed with representatives from each country of the United Empire. Within the city is a House of Representatives with leaders from each of the races. In recent history the Wulongs have gotten the right to vote and now have a leader in the representatives, though some are still wary of them. The Azure order has been refitted into an academy for magic allowing anyone with magic potential to learn. Some magic is still outlawed or closely watched ( such as Hex, Shadow, String and Fire) but most are used freely and are used in day to day life. In short life is sweet.
 
I would like to think that the sewers would be this damp, risqué neon fixture lighting area, where you can get all your shifty business done, as well as get some kinda neon blue drink.
 
Vlu would totes be a nerd bug wearing sweatpants and really big shirts all the time. Glasses too, most likely~ She'd probably be working on some kind of degree in bio-something.
 
  • T'aryn would still be a homeless woman fighting the Crelin to protect her clan and family. Of course, she'd be fighting with guns rather than her spear.
  • Xz'ctin would be a pro-wrestler, definitely. That or a mercenary, or maybe both. Who knows, maybe Mekett would've already conquered the world by then. But in that case, he'd be a high-ranking military officer.
  • Nalani might've struck gold in one of it's deep-sea treasure hunting journeys, and finally have a cushy manor house built that's only a little bit flooded. And hopefully get married to Ardon. @cmedestroy2
  • Churel is still a Chyga, still a Hex mage, and still a jerk.
  • Piano is angrily tipping his fedora and eating spiders.
 
Oh and IF there'll be a modern massive I would think that time would slowly progress to the present that would take a lot of time in game and irl though.

I can agree with this, I suppose that would make a lot of sense. Now to see if anyone actually has the guts to do all of this, doubt it xD At least the discussion is fun!
 
To be real with all of ya righ'ta'bout now.. If Regalia were modern, ALL my characters would either be dead or in a mental rehebilitation center.

To be clear on one thing,
Falish would still be exectuted
 
All I know is my Characters would be doing exactly what they do now, but they'd be praised as heroes, maybe have so Avengers-esk headquarters. You know "Oh no trouble!" "It's okay we'll save you." "Oh thankyou." rather than "Oh no trouble!" "It's okay we'll save you." "You're under arrest."

Regalia would have fallen into social and economic collapse as well, religion is a benefit to the society, you have people lose faith in your leader and what do you have? Division. Also, people would probably mass execute anybody infected with Vampirism to deal with the situation.
 
Kleinfolk would be extinct.
Regalia would be in a nuclear cold war with the Qadir.
Lots of protests against racism.
Vampirism eradicated.
Magic would be like a career, or gone.
And last but not least.
All of Regalia burned down in fires and suffered plagues and turned into a metropolitan city spanning all of the landmass it's on.
The Kades are now just a celeb family figure head and have TV shows about them and lots of scandalous stuff.

Imagine an Ailor, Thylan, Chein'ji and kliens all sitting down to watch, keeping up with the Kades.
 
Funny story, there's actually is a kinda abandoned Nationstate region that I still go on that kinda goes over this exact thing. We have Regalia being Regalia, Farrahdeen being Farahdeen, and The Holy Tigranic Empire of Catslavakia in the area of Hyarroc using lasers. Because yay Tigrans.
 
Maiar would probably gain citizenry and finally be able to have their own businesses and housing without being looked weird. The Ailor would help them create the foundation of what will be future Maiar cities working as Naval outposts for the Ailor/Maiar coalition. Also Maiar would work side by side with scholars and probably serve as proffesors. Maiars have same mental capacity as humans people, they aren't just instinctual fish (At least the tribal ones). Only problem they have is that when they spend too much time without learning they forget things but don't we all lol.

I like to think in NewYork esc Regalia all the races would have districts for their own culture. Like Chein'ji town, a big park filled with Yanars, a small district filled with Klein sized homes and the rivers are the Maiars area.
 
I would love to see a park filled with beautiful Yanar, and each one could have their own tree in their house. The amount of firefighters on that district would be hardcore lol. I can imagine the Maiar using Hydro Pump on those buildings.
 
Imagine streets of Maiars underwater with homes and cafes and stalls all built into the banks and walls of the cities water ways and rivers. I guess Dwarves and Dakkars would have big stone homes and apartment blocks. The Elves would probably build huge towers to live it with gardens and fountains and such. Urs would have a suburban area filled with Salvic like homes, same as Thylans. The Qadirs would probably make a market area near the harbour and have homes built around there. If Wulongs gain citizenship they'd probably have a section of the Yanar park that would be fenced off.
