Recently I found a mod called Lord of the Rings mod, which apparently "brought Middle-earth to Minecraft". I tried it, and found multiple things in it that I thought could add to the role play on Massivecraft. These included:

- plates on which food could be placed and eaten from
- mugs which could also be placed and drunken from
- and chandeliers that could be hung from the underside of a block.

All the things I mentioned above might contribute to the atmosphere in for example a tavern. I have thought about suggesting adding such things before, but had before now never actually seen them in Minecraft before, so I didn't think them possible.

I don't know whether adding things such as plates and mugs has been suggested or debated before, but, nevertheless, I think it might be a good idea, if it is possible.

I am not suggesting using this mod, because it contains a lot of other things, but perhaps a plugin that contained extra things purely for role play.

What you are asking for is nearly impossible, as you can't add blocks to the game without a client-side mod. The only way this would be possible is if they change the textures of certain blocks, which IS possible.

As it is right now. We could either have people use client side mods (which is never going to happen).
We could use Meta blocks. But those can only have the same shape as existing blocks. It would still require people to have Optifine.
When the plugin API is released (or maybe even before that). Servers can add custom blocks, but we will have to wait for atleast 1.8, more likely 1.9 or 2.0.
Can't remember exactly what is going to be added when. But if you know please tell me.

You can make chandeliers in Minecraft.
They're usually not as fancy as their IRL counterparts thought.

Use your imagination. You can say that a simple plant pot is a placeable mug.

Well, sadly these items can't be added to the server without an actually mod which wouldn't be added.

I am quite well aware of that, it was just an idea that I thought I might as well mention instead of sitting on it and wondering "what if...?".
