Introduction
House Solidor is a Leutz-Vixe family with a very rich, but also very tragic history. Despite all the tragedy their family has endured, they still remained a strong and tight-knit bunch for most of their History.
Introduction
Their story starts back in Old Ceardia, where the family's founders started with nothing but a shack with a dirt floor, and through their intelligence and thirst for advancement, made a name for themselves as renowned tinkerers.
Then came the Void Invasion of Ceardia. The family, or what was left of it, was forced to relocate and leave everything behind, moving to Regalia. Here they once again begun to establish themselves. However, it was also around this time that House Solidor merged with two other smaller families, one being Ithanian, and one being Alt-Regalian. Thus, they became some of the first members of the Leutz-Vixe culture, as the two cultures combined within the house.
For a while everything was fine and prosperous, until their County was attacked one night by attackers that, to this day, are still unknown. Some believe it was Vampires. Some Believe it was a rival house. Nevertheless, half of House Solidor was obliterated in one fell swoop, and the remainder scattered to the four winds, never to be seen again.
Until around 15 years later, that is, when Alexander Solidor rathaesurfaced in Regalia, having moved back there for his own comfort and safety. The rest of House Solidor soon heard about their relative in Regalia, some and one by one, the members managed to regroup there and the family begun to recover, acquiring a new Estate in the Crown City. But once again, tragedy managed to find the group...this time, from within. Freya Lo and her army of Deathlings took over Regalia. However, Alexander Solidor and all the Solidor members loyal to him sided against the Deathling menace, while the Baron himself, and the head of house Drake Solidor would side with Freya Lo. This started a small, internal Civil War. members of the Schutzkraft, their house guard, whom sided with Drake and lo would paint red streaks on their blue tunics, making this monthlong conflict within the house known as the Red December. The end of this resulted with the Death of Drake Solidor, slain by his own son Alexander. Because the Deathlings were still in control, and the Resistances no longer trusted them, they were forced to flee. From that point House Solidor traveled as far from the Empire as possible. During these travels some additional lost members from the original Barony destruction incident joined them, growing their ranks somewhat. The Remnants of the Schutzkraft also travelled with them, although like the family, the SK was a shadow of its former self.
Very Recently, the sudden decision to return to Regalia was made by new Head of house Alexander Solidor. However, they return to find all they worked for shattered, with a need to rebuild...
Family Information
Family Culture: Leutz-Vixe
Family Religion: Disputed. Most members are Unionists, some adhere to Old Gods, some disagree with religion entirely, and an odd few might follow the Faith of Estel.
Family Traits:
- Physical: Brown hair and green eyes. House Solidor members are known to have chocolate to light brown hair, and sea green eyes. House Solidor members are also not known for being muscular.
- Mental: Highly Intelligent. House Solidor members place education above all else, and therefore, each member of the house is highly educated.
- Tinkering. This is the largest trade by House Solidor, as the members of House Solidor are usually renowned for their inventions and tinkering.
- Fine Fabrics. This trade is smaller and is mainly kept to fund the main Trade, should funding be needed. House Solidor is also known for designing and making Guard and Military uniforms.
- Black Mountain Advancement - A Company dedicated to the building, research and repair of technically-advanced items, such as Luxury Airships, New Construction Methodologies, and Simple Machines used to make work easier. Sometimes they've also been known to design and sell Siege Weaponry.
- Blue and Black Fabrics - Fabric and Clothing Company owned and ran by House Solidor. This company was only founded in the last few years, and is still rather new.
