The house is enamored with an unwavering commitment to growth, as it employs a rather odd approach to those it destroys by opening its door to them to join their ranks as equals rather than kicking them to the dustbin of history. These fractured souls are sculpted into valued members of the house, with many assuming roles as esteemed healers, craftspeople, or mentors and guardians for the young, or even receiving the esteemed offer of joining the ranks as adopted family members. Despite its vehement protection and promotion of its roots, diversity permeates the tapestries of House Serada as it finds things such as religion, race, bloodline, and even occult status as trivial things not worthy of attention so long as they pledge loyalty to Szabadok central tenets: unwavering loyalty to the clan, having both the mental, and physical strength to fight tooth and nail to overcome all enemies, yet to equally remain hospitable, and always keep an extended palm out to those they fell. ━─┉┈⊱⋅•⋅ ※ ⋅•⋅⊰┈┉─━ ━─┉┈⊱⋅•⋅ ※ ⋅•⋅⊰┈┉─━ ༻⋅⋅༺ The family can technically trace its bloodline back millennia, but the first official recordings are found in roughly 120~ AC as a rag-tag group of horse breeding raiders, and pastoral nomads in the Baldmark region of the Archipelago. Through the generations it partook in many raids, and plunders against its neighbors, and found itself a slippery foe constantly on the move against the Regalian Empire when it aimed to subjugate the Szabadok people. As the Houses' victories began mounting and the ransom offers were flowing for many of the soldiers and commanders captured, the flat land that was safe to traverse however began to diminish before grass and plains turned to barren beaches, and seas. In one final act of defiance, the uncommunicative group of raiders finally opened communications by threatening an execution of all their captives. What came was a generous offer: their surrender, loyalty, and unyielding warlike spirit to the Empire in exchange for stewardship of the land they roamed, ennoblement, and a lavish lifestyle unable to be achieved through mere raiding parties. The house accepted the offer, and integrated into the empire as a laconic and private, yet ghastly effective and ruthless house of mercenaries that with a mere whisper, and the promise of the best pickings of loot would pounce upon anyone the crown found itself pointing its finger at. In the present day however, House Serada has found itself reverting back to its more antagonistic attitude. As mercenary work is now outlawed, and the crowns coffers run dry, the house now sees the Empire as an oyster to pick from yet again, with other houses, and anyone who stands in their way as it's succulent flesh, and pearl to yank at with all of its tools at its disposal.
