"We are the ever vigilant guardians of the remnants of bygone eras"

    Synopsis
Devout guardians of the Altalar way of life, and loyalists to the Cult of Talea. Much of the family's history is tied to operating in some capacity as warriors or generals in the Allorn Empire. Though the modern day family now operates in much lessened capacity than that of their ancestors, they still follow the belief a new Talea shall rise among their kin to seize the old empire. They now wait in stalwart vigilance for this coming day as guardians of the fleeting grace of their once proud people.

    History

    400-250 BC
Records of the family before this period are quite scarce. The Osgador family rose to prominence during the middle of the Mage Wars under a well-learned general, Agrril Osgador, where they earned a name fighting in some of the lesser-spoken battles of the wars. It was of these battles that Agrril earned his nickname, "the Falcon." For his shrewd prowess of reconnaissance allowed him to predict his foe's movements, and split his enemy's army asunder. Thus began the lineage of falconers that the family is known for, in timeless honor of the first great name of House Osgador. Later on, during the Fracture of Allorn, Agrril compelled his brother, Gonnedhel, to consider the future of the family. For the general saw nothing worth fighting for within the aristocracy and arch-mages that now ruled the land in a debaucherous grip, but he himself could not leave as he was bound by his lord. Roused by his brother, Gonnedhel took his side of the family and retreated to the coastal Fin'ul Straits. It was here that Gonnedhel planted his roots, and took up as a general within the principality. Back in the mainlands of the Allorn Empire, Agrril was slain in a battle fighting within the quasi-civil war, leaving his descendants to join Gonnedhel in the straits later on as a lesser side of the family as Gonnedhel was now the eldest son, and Agrril had no heirs old enough to take the mantle.

    250-0 BC
Gonnedhel was now left as the head of the household in some of the most turbulent times of the empire. He lacked the shrewd resolve of his more famous brother, and could only muster a semi-competent leadership of his troops. Though it is through this sheer will alone to champion the family onward that gained him respect. Though lacking skill, Gonnedhel was a kinder man than his brother - and believed in a different fate of the family. To one day push past the veil of darkness of their fleeting people, and take up the mantle to defend the next great Talea of their time. Though Gonnedhel did his best to defend the family leading up to the Cataclysm, even he himself became a victim of the horrific chaos and natural disasters that swept the land. After his passing, he was succeeded by his eldest son - Ilurambar. As family tradition, he took up a position as a general within the principality. He sought to follow after his father's desire to unite the Allorn Empire one day under the next Talea. Though he was wiser than his father, and knew that the empire as it stood - was doomed.

    1-200 AC
Ilurambar sought to protect the realm and his family as best as the minor general could. He kept watch over the lands during the end of The Wildering and sought to look for safer shores elsewhere from the fallen empire of his people's once proud past. From here, he saw the Regalian Empire forming. Ilurambar took a gamble in leading his family to Ailor lands, and barely won out. For in these lands, nobody would take up the Altalar general so close to the end of his people's empire, and the still fresh wounds lingering upon some. Still, blades were always needed. The family was reduced to little more than foot soldiers for their long but uneventful history within the Empire. Ilurambar gave one last gamble - his son, Tiriail. Having only been born in 228 AC, he knew that his son would be able to see the liberation of his people in the many centuries to come. Thus, while not upon the battlefield, Ilurambar taught his son the ways of his family as his father did before him - instilling in him the age old goal of his family's legacy, and teaching him to perhaps one day be a general as grand as Agrril.

    Modern Day
Ilurambar retired from his responsibilities as head of the house to his now much older son, Tiriail. Leading the family with a firm grip, they now march forward in the constantly evolving landscape - and with the rise of House Avalorn, see their time to restore their people's old ways upon them - ready to seize forth the means to find the next Talea, and lead the resurrection of the Allorn Empire. Though few would publicly admit such an anti-Regalian goal.

    The Men and Women
House Osgador, out of want or necessity is unclear, do not discriminate on the matters of gender. As Talea, a woman, was once the greatest ruler of their people. Being a predominantly Fin'ullen family, matters of war and combat are treated equally among both genders - each seeking to out the other as an inferior tactician or warrior. Though all competitions are only healthy jousts to avoid familial infighting. Both the men and women are rather domineering in their clothing choices - favoring darker colors, ferr-iron or richer material bands, and long hairstyles.

    Character Applying for: Malttinc Osgador
    Synopsis:
    • Malttinc is very different from his elder brother: he is less of a leader and less cool-headed and more of a dutiful soldier. He holds great respect for his brother and does his best to aid him in leading the family. His relationship with Ruiavorn involves him either treating him like a child or goading him to become either a warrior or a tactician as is the family tradition. His formative years involved intense combat training and resulted in him feeling a strong call to protect those in need of protection. He inevitably finds himself losing his temper and is often drawn into fights but is driven greatly by the desire to make his family proud.
