In the beginning, was a man named Orathius Krupp; an elderly Skagger man coming to the end of his time. Born unto him were the three sons that first settled on the land we know today as Krupp Keep. The eldest, Helvius Krupp; a renowned physician and alchemist, created his holdings upon the hill. A small, humble shack where he might give treatment to weary travellers that passed by. The Second brother, Calvius Krupp; humble was he, a fisherman who offered his catchings for little coin in return. Finally, the Third brother, Maecius Krupp; a spiteful young man who desired nothing but bloodshed and to have the mound upon which his brothers lived to himself. He had no trade, nor did he treat his brothers as equals, yet he lived off of their kindness and survived through the treatments of his Eldest brother, Helvius who kept him in good health. He ate the food, which Calvius caught daily for those who lived upon the mound, biding his time and slowly planning his conquest.
Years passed by and the elderly brothers had amassed students, willing to learn beneath them as doctors and fishermen whilst the younger brother, Maecius, learned beneath the huntsmen who passed by their home. Finally, the beginnings of Krupp Keep were set in place, as the foundation of the outer wall was set and with time, the walls began to tower beyond what they had once desired. With the construction of the large outer wall, they started upon the large keep; a building which would host the most powerful men in the land. With the completion of the keep, almost two years after it's first foundation stone was laid; the eldest brother, Helvius Krupp took upon the title of Lord of Krupp Keep and named Calvius his successor. Maecius was furious with the announcement that the middle child, a simple fisherman would be allowed to sit in the great hall and one day, whilst Calvius was out fishing on the small lake beneath the keep, Maecius set alight his boat with a blazing arrow, forcing his middle brother to the depths; never to be seen again.
For months, Helvius searched for his younger brother in the hopes that he would return to Krupp Keep unharmed. Alas, as the months passed on, hope dwindled and so did the spirits of Helvius Krupp. Loneliness was the end of him, as he was found in his bed, stiff as a board and holding in his arms, a shirt that belonged to Calvius. Patience paid off for young Maecius, finally, he declared himself the Lord of Krupp Keep and began his assimilation of the Northern Tribes. Reikland at the time was but a simple land, left mostly untouched by civilized Ailors from the South, and those who did venture too far North were often lost to the icy winds or unkind predators who disliked the company of the Southerners.
He first put together The Companions of Old, with the assistance of the Mercenary, Ofjnir av Kongehelm. An elite group of Mercenaries who would travel to each of the tribes close to Krupp Keep in an attempt to win over the locals through talks or by using fear tactics. Slowly, one by one, the tribes came together under the banner of Krupp, expanding their claim on Reikland and killing those who would attempt to resist the Krupp's iron rule.
During his reign, Maecius found himself a wife, Hilde who was brought from the tribes as a token of goodwill to the Lord of Krupp Keep. He quickly found himself infatuated with the warrior-woman whom he married within a few months of meeting. Through her, he had two children; Donatus, his son, whom he cherished with all his heart and Maevia Krupp, his daughter who was his pride and joy. Both children brought to House Krupp, an Iron Rule upon Reikland and long lasts the rule we know today, under the new Lord Krupp, Maximus; Baron of Reikland.
Many Krupps are stereotyped as ginger, sporting masses of body hair and scraggly beards; however, this is far from the truth. Although many Krupps to sport ginger thickets of hair and this is, of course, a very common trait amongst the Krupps, it should be noted that some blonde and brunette Krupps have, and currently do exist in the public eye. Most males, of course, stand anywhere between 5'7 and 6'4, with some rare exceptions. Naturally, Krupp males retain low body fat and are often at least Toned, or Athletic in their body shapes.
Women on the other hand almost always remain ginger or blonde and sport very pale skin, they stand anywhere between 4'5 and 5'8, again with some rare exceptions. Mainline Krupp women are known for being rather slender however, often sporting bodies much the same as the men in terms of them being naturally Toned or Athletic. Any Krupps from the cousin lines, however, are not born with such body types and often are found to be curvaceous; another telltale sign of a Krupp female being from a cousin line is that they often sport heavy dottings of freckles upon their features.
Some traits, however, are shared between the two genders, such as eye colour being naturally either blue or green; with the rare exception of a brown-eyed Krupp being born on occasion. Another considerably prevalent feature the Krupps host is in their personalities, many a Krupp hosting a rather dangerous and explosive temper.
Helvius, Calvius & Maecius - The Three Brothers who started it all, two on a noble quest to peacefully bring together a people into a safe haven and one who destroyed that dream for his own selfish gain. Though Helvius' reign was short-lived and Calvius' life was cut short before his chance to sit in the great chair of Krupp Keep, Maecius united numerous clans during his rule, regardless of his fear-mongering.Donatus & Maevia - The Children of Maecius Krupp, Donatus was a Battle Commander, the general that led Krupp Armies to war and Maevia was the politician who was perhaps even more dangerous than her brother and his forces. The pair expanded alliances and crushed opposition during their joined rule, though in the end Maevia died due to an unknown sickness and Donatus continued his legacy through his sons, Ambolgrod, Ackwald and Jørgen.
Ambolgrod Krupp - Leading a bright golden age for House Krupp, Ambolgrod led numerous raids into the lowlands held by House Typhonus and started a feud between the two houses that would last generations. He was perhaps less efficient than his father and aunt, though he did his part and furthered the house in terms of wealth by expanding upon their fishing business.
Virathus Krupp - Being the first Krupp to branch out to Regalia in search of joining the nobility of the Archipelago, he found himself in office as the proconsul within the Holy City for a short while and even tried to lead a rebellion against the state, ending in his untimely demise from his brother, Maximus.
Maximus Krupp - Best known for dwarfing his fellow Krupps and for hosting a frame to suit his extremely intimidating height of 6'6, Maximus Krupp served in the Tyrian Order as an Imperial Guard and is well known for such. He is the current Patriarch of House Krupp and continues to rule with a fiery hatred for anything Non-Ailor. In recent times, he has also signed a peace treaty with House Typhonus, bringing some sort of an end to their feud.
◇ We ask that your Krupp character is played as your main, though this isn't mandatory, we do expect at least 50% of your roleplay time being spent as your Krupp.
◇ Discord is required to communicate with other family members, please ensure your Discord tag is sent to the family head so that you can be added to appropriate family chats.
◇ Keep in mind that Krupps are Nobility and as such should act like Nobility, regardless of their Northern roots. Crime RP shouldn't be partaken in unless given express permission by the Family Head.
◇ Your Krupp may be taken from you at any point for OOC Misbehaviour or if we feel you've abandoned said character, though warnings will be given long before it comes down to removal from the family.
◇ Please note that whilst on Trial, you'll be expected to be active and working on a character application. If however, you've a good excuse for not being able to keep up your activity, we tend to be understanding and patient.
◇ At the end of a character trial, if we feel you're not contributing to the family or not playing the character actively enough, you may either be warned or removed from the family, depending on the severity of the neglect of your character or the lack of contribution.
(I have decided to scrap the family tree because I believe it's too restricting and prefer to work characters into House Krupp.)
