Preamble
Not oft is mind payed to the stoic brothers and sisters who mind their crafts more than ambition. An austere lifestyle was rather uniform for the many factory workers and bannermen across the northernmost Calem territory.
Simple focuses and refuting indulgences constituted greatness though. Innovation flourished under these stern and studious sons of the Empire, and the sense of duty their soldiers felt never leant opportunity to treachery.
Off on the west coast, the greatest of Anglian poetry and art shook the attention of Opper Calem's Jut - a tiny strip of land which bore the only western harbour. Priding themselves as more cultured than the rest of their land, their way of life was protected by the Krupp's.
Finding only a passing fancy in the drama of the Jut, the Krupp family spent two centuries defending the primary pass into the peninsula. From the leveled Krupp mountain peak in which the family took its name, they held a hereditary fortification and received the respect that is usually only afforded nobility.
But Virathus Krupp, ascending the 2500 steps to the family's Perch above the peninsula, would gaze over his homeland a final time before seizing his destiny, his family bidding him farewell with heavy hearts as he set out to Drixagh to settle the frontier… Much like his forefathers had done in Opper Calem.

Children of the Mountains and Their Ways
Men approach the Krupp keep to hold council with the Patriarch of the house.
As the Great Emperor's united the Regalian Isles and struck at the Skagger Horde, many of the greatest houses distinguished themselves. The brothers Robert and Arminus d'Vaud set course with the Great Regalian navy before the turn of the first century, seizing the ports on the Jut of Opper Calem (Then the Thumb of Hërzkap).
Though the details of the conquests have only been written recently, the family prided itself by having the oral traditions passed on to the locals and their sons alike.
Arminus, determined to gain titles from this conquested land, built a base for the invading forces upon the flattened Krupp peak. Whether and engineering feat is to be credited for the position - or a landslide purposefully precipitated by Arminus upon the Skaggers who once held the Jut - is fairly uncertain.
Whatever the truth is, Arminus took the name to establish his own line, dissatisfied with being in the shadow of his older brother Robert.
Building many fortifications in the critical pass in the mountains, he prided himself with holding a keep well above them to project his power. From his architectural feats, the house's culture and traditions grew; whence his heir, Perseus, tried to ascend the 2500 steps to assume his title, his slothful and gluttonous nature lead him to exhaustion by the 1100th step. His guards abandoned him, proceeding on. Perseus froze to death, and his body was left in a cave to be preserved and observed by generations after.
Famously, when the guards were asked why he was left to die, they simply responded that he was not fit enough to ascend to the throne, and thus, held no position over them.
Tarquinus Krupp (Commonly referred to as Tarquin) succeeded his father instead, and instilled further virtues upon the Krupp's. Most critically, he instilled in them an obsession in physical strength, honour, and loyalty. He was famed for his stern justice as well, once having to settle for only a minor retribution against a Skagger Warlord of the mountains to ensure a truce with cooperating tribes.
Allowed to strike him only once in the torso, it is said he surprised all in attendance by stepping behind him, striking his back. The man fell, never to rise to his feet again; the blow crippled him, and made impotent without an heir, turmoil befell his people, and contributed to the taming of the Hërzkap over the next few decades.
Those wishing to learn more of the origins of the Krupp family would have to observe their oral traditions, or the books recording them, though.

House Krupp is back, under new management and better than ever!
While House Krupp shall be considering new members, there will be a great deal of deliberation involved. The following is a list of rules for playing a Krupp:
- It is of paramount importance that anyone who joins is willing to devote the appropriate time on the server playing any Krupp character - including bastards. Some may only make infrequent appearances because of their story and suit a part time play, others may be nearly full time.
- You must be willing to accept that the appearance of the character, in terms of fashion or otherwise, will need a fair bit of deliberation beforehand.
- Loyalty to the House is expected. In roleplay, there is little discord between family members, and acting against another member of the family will be considered an OOC matter without sufficient roleplay instigating it. For more in depth commentaries on relations between individual members, message the patriarch (HigherAltidude).
Heirlooms
The Bust of Arminus – Cut from stone from the Krupp peak itself, it is inscribed 'Arminus d'Vaud Kruppicus'. The features are hard to distinguish, and thus birthed a tradition where artists would be hired to paint his likeness onto it. Often when Krupp's have held audiences, the bust will be set up to overlook the proceedings; it is considered bad luck to not have it present while dealing with local dignitaries.
Crispin's Signet – A signet ring made nearly a century ago, it depicts a White Calemberger Fox. This is currently possessed by Virathus' father Ambolgrod, and often is blue wax used so that the colours of the house are both portrayed - blue and white. Virathus' son, Tarquinus, has since reclaimed the item from Ambolgrod and holds it in his possession - on his left pointer finger
The Gold Portrait of Tarquin – Perhaps just as prized as the bust of Arminus, a small gold plate weighing nearly half a pound depicts Tarquinus on both the Obverse and Reverse if it, similar to a coin. The Obverse has a portrait of Tarquinus with a full beard, and the words 'Strength through Service', and the Reverse with him wearing a helm and clean shaven, bearing the phrase 'Guidance by Honour'. It is tradition to ponder each important decision aneath it while present at the Krupp Keep.
Notes - WIP
Applications will be considered while I flesh out a family tree. I will be adding rather clear stories for the characters in the coming days, as well as a line of succession. So please, feel free to apply! It's awful lonely
