House Hayward truly began to set themselves apart as an independent subculture under the rule of Abner Hayward during his reign as patriarch of the House. During his reign, Abner established himself and the family as a valuable militaristic vassal within the Holy Regalian Empire. During the Drachenwald Crisis, Abner faced the decision of whether to be loyal to his father and family, or to lieges. Abner sided with the House Van Sherburne and the Imperial Army, despite his late father Edmund's support for the Baron's Army. During the Crisis their numbers were rather few, but rumour through the holdhouse is that their presence on the battlefield was often the deciding factor in whether victory would be claimed..
Household Information
Physical:Household Information
Haywards' are a blend of both Ceardian and Regalian culture, exemplifying the finest qualities of both. The common build of a Hayward is tall and of athletic build, however it is not uncommon for them to be of a more robust build. The same can be closely said for the women of the family, typically of medium height and athletic build. The typical hair colour of a Hayward ranges from dirty blonde to charcoal black. Most members have blue or green eyes, with pointed chins and thick eyebrows.
Personality:The personalities of each Hayward varies, however their teachings and upbringings are all similar. They have been taught loyalty, patriotism, and religion almost from birth. They will have had it drummed into them as children, teens and adults until it almost defines their very beings. Any other "Sacrilegious or heretical" thoughts will have been beaten or drilled out of them at a very young age. Of course there are exceptions, but the defining character traits are due to their upbringing.
