Hello players of MassiveCraft, my name is HydraLana. Today I am pleased to announce the launch of the History Project. Over the years, Alorian history has been expanded in various ways, from events seen in progression posts to race re-writes that have refined their concept, bringing forth things of the past such as the Great Storm. However, while some articles have been written, many others have not be. In particular, older events that occurred in progressions posts and people, a Wiki category that has been needing more articles to help flush it out. So today, I ask you to turn your minds to History and the People who make it.
How to Use History/People
At first glance, History and the People involved with it may seem only for the diehards and the theorists, or simple background noise. But like our own real world history, there are some good solid uses for these articles.
Project/Application Details
This project will feature writing possibilities for History and People Wiki articles. Unlike the last project I headed, this project will have an application process. We ask that those who want to apply seriously examine the time they have available to put into this project as well as examine their writing quality to see if it matches up to the Wiki's. Your application will be reviewed and if you are accepted, I will ask for your Skype name and have you begin the project. Below you can find the application for you to fill out.

How to Use History/People
At first glance, History and the People involved with it may seem only for the diehards and the theorists, or simple background noise. But like our own real world history, there are some good solid uses for these articles.
- Noble/Upper Class Roleplay: This may seem fairly obvious but the upper class would have a higher education than most others. Depending on what this education is in however, having yourself and your character aware of major figures in the world's lore like Morgann Kade, Emperor Theomar and others is crucial to maintaining the idea of upper societal education. Additionally, many nobles are involved in historical events in some way, such as a noble in Dragenthal having parents or older relatives involved in the Drachenwald Crisis. Overall, it helps to further the aspect of competent roleplay by knowing People you should know.
- Scholarly Roleplay: Scholars, while they are rare, do have a part to play in politics and roleplay as a whole. For example, someone in the School of History would possess historical context to the events happening right at this moment, with Dragons, a reborn Elven Empire and so on. This can serve to drive such characters to action or conclusions to propagate among the populace or in political lobbies.
- Commoner/Lower Class Roleplay: Considering how much I talked about the education system of nobles, some might be wondering how History and People articles can really affect the common people. It can in that these events shape their lives, and the People involved can either become vilified enemies of the public or saviors, spoken of gracefully. For example, Herons in the Unionist faith are famous people for their piety and brave actions and if you are a craftsmen, knowing who you should swear by or call to in times of trouble can be a good step toward immersion.
