Halfbeast shift: Hal's forearms and legs become hairier than usual, his canines sharpen, his hair becomes wavier and longer, and his eyes become a blue-glowing light silver.

Beastform Shift: Transforms into a wolf with dusky silver fur that borders on a very light tan in some places. His physique is heavier, mimicking that of a bear's, but the majority of his form is wolfish, including his head which now sports bright silver-blue glowing eyes. He also gains a wolfish tail.

Life Story

Early Life:
Hal’lyndvaera Synd’airnaellos is born into the large Cielothar village of Moh’ren Faellyi in the southwestern plains of Daen, the firstborn of parents Nanaeafri Synd’airnaellos, his mother, and F’lyaennon Synd’airnaellos, his father. He grows up as a child raised by a village, with countless aunts, uncles, and siblings all whirling around him in a delightful kind of chaos that rings of wind-chimes, laughter, and a deep reverence for family and kinship. He is taught by his mother how to view the world, how to cook, and how to heal, and from his father, he is trained early to become a Surriel defender of the village, learning how to fortify spaces and fight with a crossbow. This carries him through his teens until he reaches fifteen, at which point he undergoes the Trial of Estel and emerges a full Surriel, his Ta’rath taking on the shape of a stubborn ram. He begins his duties and wholeheartedly throws himself into the protection and betterment of his village, learning quickly that there are few things he loves more than serving his loved ones by protecting and aiding them with his skill and willpower.

Middling Years:
Hal turns 20 and continues defending his family, living proudly and well as a celebrated member of his community. As he grows older and approaches 25, his family begins to tell him more of their history and secrets, revealing that they are the guardians of some deeply sentimental and historic artifact gifted to them many centuries ago by Yanar priests, and that their family has long been the caretakers of the Great Tree at the center of Moh’ren Faellyi which hides the artifact within its boughs. As more years pass, some Cielothar begin to leave the village in search of greater knowledge and experience and rumors begin skittering around of a strange shadow appearing on the ground from the north on cloudy days; ill omens abound in the prayers of the Elder Aiel. As Hal turns 29, disaster strikes when the shadow reveals itself to be the dread-fortress of a Dorkarth Desprincess, bringing with her a coven of elder sanguine bent on the destruction of all Existlings they come across and hungry for power. The coven descends on the village of Moh’ren, and with their numbers thinned, their defenses fail. Hal is ripped away from his family and collared, falling helpless to one of the Dorkarth’s whims, and the last he hears of his family is their promise to find him when their treasured, priceless artifact is secure once more. The remainder of Hal’s family takes the artifact and flees, disappearing into the Yanar-filled woods of Daen where the coven dares not to follow, and Hal is taken as cattle onboard the Desprincess’ flying castle as it moves further east towards Hadaria.

Enslaved Years:
For the next five years of his life, Hal is kept as a slave among the coven, the collar never removed and his labor never finished. He suffers greatly under them, enduring constant abuse and belittlement at the hands of the Desprincess and slowly forced into a mindset of constant horror, numb to the world around him. However, as he turns 34, a light emerges at the end of the tunnel as the castle, hovering over Anglia, is overtaken by the strange, shadowy mists of the Anglian Mist Crisis. After months of nonbeing, Hals is popped back into existence in the now-landed castle and uses the chaos of the scene as an opportunity to escape his captors for good, the collar around his neck mysteriously gone.

Emancipated Years:
After escaping his Dorkarth enslavers, Hal wanders his way through Anglia, making it into the Nort Beesterwald forest in the north of the rural landmass. Here, he meets his next family, a nomadic Raprann Werebeast clan that takes him in and rehabilitates him after his long tenure as a blood cattle. He begins to regain his empathetic Cielothar mindset, and the Raprann clan teaches him further how to use a crossbow and fight with his hands, so that he might better defend himself against sanguines and other attackers. As he gets closer with them, he decides to take the plunge and attempt a ritual to become a Raprann, but for some unknown reason the ritual goes sideways and he emerges as a Uthurenn blessed with the ability to safeguard his allies. As the final months of his 36th year pass, he begins to grow restless, wishing to go and find more Uthurenn like him, so at the behest of his Raprann family and with newfound confidence, Hal sets out to Regalia in search of a new pack and a new life.

• Updated his proficiency points to better reflect his status as a Cielothar. I would honestly prefer him to be more combat-saavy, but accepting this limitation is more important to the growth of the character and I wholeheartedly agree with your recommendation.
• Fixed the points that were overestimated in his Hobby and Talent sections.
• Added a spoiler that demarcates his two Werebeast Shifts and describes their physical appearance.
• Fixed a perceived issue in his Physical Stat Limit, which was set to 25, but I'm pretty sure the new Werebeast lore doesn't allow for that? So I set it back to the Cielothar 15.
• Made him taller.
• Fixed the detail in his Life Story that describes an artifact, making sure to denote it as something of extreme sentimental and historical importance, not one of magical properties.
